30 inch single wall oven choice
Comments (3)"what is difference between vertical dual fan convection system and single convection (jenn air has these two kinds) " The # of fans and the direction they are pointed. - = marketing hype. Bosch will be the simplest and lowest price, T'dor least reliable, and Jenn Air might just be the best bet if you like/want all their wizbang features....See MoreNeed advice-Electrolux 30" built-in single convection wall oven
Comments (10)I just received my double convection 30 inch wave touch Electrolux! It's in the garage and obviously hasn't been installed so I haven't used it yet. I did go everywhere I could, Fegusons, Pacific Sales, Renwes, etc. etc. etc. and looked at all of the ovens, pulled out the shelves, examined the controls, discussed the merits of each with the sales people and after having dozens to choose from; I choose this one. I've heard great things about them from friends that have Electrolux appliances, but mostly I loved the easy gliding shelves. There's more of the gliders than in the other ovens I saw, I love that the light comes on dim and then ramps up. I love the shade of blue in the interior and I really like that the controls disappear until you touch them. Several of the places I visited used this oven in their kitchen for employees so I saw them live. They all seemed to think it was a great oven so that helped me with my decision. Who knew choosing an oven could be such a big and expensive decision???? Good luck with your choice....See MoreWill a 30 inch wall oven fit inside a 30 inch cabinet?
Comments (8)I'm not fond of a triple stack in a single cabinet. It puts the bottom appliance at an unusable height, so it never gets used. I'm also not fond of the gutting that it takes to fit a 30'' oven into a framed 30'' cabinet. Most of the time, enough of the face frame has to be cut away that it requires reinforcing the sidewalls. I have one installer that completely refuses to do this withou a significantt extra fee, as it requires time basically rebuilding the cabinet. Each element has to have it's own platform, it's own dedicated electrical supply, (which many people forget about) and a cabinet rail between them. Even if the allowed clearances make it look as though there is no rail between the appliances, it's there, as that is how they are fastened into the cabinets. Can it be done? Yes, but not easily or cheaply. You need both an electrician to run all the new wires, and a cabinet maker to do the cabinet alterations. No handyman. No appliance installer. Someone who can take apart a cabinet, take apart a door a recut it to be shorter and put it back together, and stain some wood to match perfectly. Find the most experienced cabinet shop in town with a cranky old man working for them, and that's your craftsman....See MoreAbout to buy a single electric convection wall oven 27-30"
Comments (6)We're also trying to find a 'relatively' quiet 27" wall oven for the home we'll be moving into this summer. We will be installing a Bluestar Platinum 30" range but I 'd also like an electric wall oven. From reading all the comments here about noisy fans I honestly don't know what to buy. I currently have 12 year old Dacor double wall ovens and their fans are exceptionally quiet. Our kitchen table is about 15' from the ovens and we cannot hear the fan at all when we sit down to eat. We would have bought another one for our next house but now that Samsung has purchased Dacor I'm not sure if I want to deal with Samsung. I'll keep checking this thread in case someone has a good recommendation. Maire...See Morewekick
