Roaster Oven Liner Pans

Hi Everyone. I was given two very dirty Toastmaster Roasters (18 gl) that were left behind when a store closed. After a little bit of cleaning they look like new and heat up just fine! Both roasters are missing the enamel liner pans and I was wondering if it is okay to cook without the pans, or will things burn? I tried to order two new liner pans from a company I found on-line, but was told each pan would cost $40 each including shipping (almost the cost of a new roaster). Does anyone know what I can do? Thanks for the help. Deb
