Linda, good luck on that new house. When Elery and I actually move in together, two houses will have to become one house. I'm only hoping our kids can use some of the stuff!

Elery is here now, napping on my couch after working his midnight shift last night. We're taking my Mother for lunch tomorrow, and the farm has my time on Sunday.

There's a pastrami smoking right now and I'm making Ann T's enchiladas for supper tonight, probably sushi tomorrow.

quiet weekend, I hope. Dealing with more "mom" issues...Scott "tripping" LOL - and Will wanting to have a sleepover here with a good buddy tonight. I think I'll feed them tacos.

We got a new router and his xbox hasn't been working quite right connecting to the internet, so I have wasted LOTS of time today trying to get that straight. sheesh. I do need a drink. :-)

How exciting that you're getting a new house, Linda! I've been in mine for seven months now, and I'm still unpacking. We had a huge yard sale before our move and made a lot more money than I expected. I'm still holding on to some really old clothes, some of which may qualify as antiques by now, but I've got to declutter my bedroom ASAP, as we plan to have a large party in February. So I'll probably be doing housework all week-end. Last week-end I installed a new ceiling fan/light in my bedroom (so I can actually see how to put things away), and we also had to replace a part in the dishwasher, and I don't know if it is completely fixed or now.

I have lots of leftovers to eat this week-end, including Spanish rice and bean dip, which I use in making burritos, quesadillos, and migas. I had pizza three times last week - once at work because we have pizza day the first Wednesday of each month.

I hope everyone's weather improves for the week-end. We're supposed to get some relief from the rain.

No really big plans for us this weekend. I am still battling this darn bronchitis. What an annoying ailment! I don't feel sick, but this horrible cough is sucking the life right out of me! Whew!

We are in the beginning stages of finishing off our third bathroom so I may just go window shopping and look at tile and such....we'll see. It's been warmer, but very gray and dreary this past week. Maybe I'll work on my CCC skills! LOL

Will clink later with a glass of Zinfandel! I have a pot roast in the oven for dinner, so it's a comfort food night.

Lars - congrats on installing the ceiling fan/light. You are much braver than I am. I can do all sorts of DIY home stuff but I am terrified of installing anything electric, I am convinced I will electrocute myself.

Linda - good luck in the new house! I need to have a major declutter session too.

Annie - I am impressed! I have never heard of anyone smoking homemade pastrami. Once better erather arrives, I will need to get the instructions from you.

Stacy, good luck with the router - I have been in eletronics hell for over a month here - new router was glitchy, then the motherboard went on my new laptop I got around T'giving and it took the GeekSquad 3 weeks to fix it! Hope yours is an easier fix and we will have to have a skype chat with the guys to talk about 24.

Tonight my DH is MCing a Comedy Showcase at a local restaurant tonight. The headliner has been on Letterman, Comedy Central and MTV so it should be a good show. I have been painting our bedroom all day - the ceiling is finally done and I am closing in on the final wall color choice. I have until tomorrow to decide, DH wants the walls done so we can start the floors on Sunday. Wish me luck on the color decision!
