Morning! Big day today.....ultrasound at 3pm. DH is going to meet me at the hospital. We are very excited as you can imagine. Hopefully i'll have a pic when I get back. Sharon..thank you! The advice is great. I've been wondering about twins 'cause i've been gaining so much weight and just have a funny feeling. It doesn't run in the family. DH would just pass out, lol. The U/S will show us how many are in there today. ; ) I've been taking prescrp. vitamins since Jan. I have 2 huge ones I take everyday and always take them with dinner. Marea, what's all this "bird daylily" talk Sharon is speaking of???? MaryB, the construction world is amazing. We have blocked/bricked so many patio homes this year it's just unbelievable. They seem to be all the craze around here. Townhouses too. If you like no maintenance and easy living then I guess it would be perfect. I prefer a yard and privacy myself, lol. They do go up fast. I got some pics for ya'..... The block were delivered and within hours DH and the crew arrived to start work..... Walls started going up very quickly........ It's very busy on the jobsite with stuff all over the place so I found a safe spot and planted myself in a chair and watched... That bump-out in the front w/ all the windows is like a dream come true. I can't wait to...

I have gotten into succulents and have them all over the house and in my office at work. It has been so much fun finding the right pots to put them in. Ray, the late summer/autumn pea crop has suffered from a massively wet autumn. The broad beans have suffered too. They hate wet feet. It was so wet that even the flavour of this season's oil was affected. Less peppery than usual. We were meant to have a bona fide glass glasshouse well before now. Hold ups with the work on the house delayed it. The house took priority. For some reason. It will be in place next year. In the meantime, before spring, I'll create a temporary structure at the top of the new garden to give the spring plantings a flying start. Last night we took some visitors up to our local trattoria in the hills above the town. Great food, as always, including my usual pici with cinghiale ragu and a glorious marscapone dessert that I've had before. It verges on tiramisu but stops short. All in front of a roaring log fire. Had to scrape the ice off the windscreen before we could drive home.

CPM was doing well in the beginning but it didn't recover after squirrels damaged it two years ago. They seem to like "snapping" off the big canes. Hopefully this year will do better but if not I may have to move it to a different spot. But based on the few blooms I did have, I like Evelyn better because of the bigger blooms and its vigour in my garden.
