Muslin would work great. Tea dying or staining would give the fabric an aged primitive look. But not all fabrics will take to tea staining. For the most part, natural fabrics like cotton and linen are your best bet. It's always good to try a small piece before investing in the whole piece. Jasdip I never get tired of seeing the pandas. These ones at the zoo are often shown on our news programs. ****** We have pandas at our zoo. We went to see them around Thanksgiving and it was very quiet and cordoned off. Here, Bei Bei had just been rushed into surgery for an intestinal blockage of wadded up bamboo. Here he is a few weeks later, recovering nicely ;-)

Spray with a couple coats of clear coat. I use it on slate pieces that I paint and it is holding up well outside.
