I bought a lot of ginger and decided to try out the crystallized ginger recipe posted here a while. Cooked the ginger in simple syrup (1:1 water:sugar),drained for 30 min, coated with sugar and left on wax paper to dry over night. This morning I woke up and found the ginger soaked in water/juice. What did I do wrong? I thought it was supposed to be at least half dried by now. Can I put the tray in the oven to bake dry them? Al
