First major issue six months in.

We went down to visit the work in progress. We had meetings to finalize the tile, paint colors, flooring, and stairs. Everything seemed to be going pretty well.

It's then we noticed two major issues with the stone work. The stone starts at the rear screen porch and wraps around the house (past the hangar and garage doors) and under some windows on the front. Well a door on the rear patio was set too high (still haven't gotten the answer to what happened there) and so they raised the stone work up to cover it. This is fine except now when it gets all the way around it won't pass under the (properly set) windows). We discussed a way to make the 4" jog but they did it completely differently (they changed the top on opposite sides of the hangar door which is quite visibly noticable even accross the 45' gap). Further it seems like they lost interest in the project as it got further along and the stuff right by the front door is hideous (compared to the stuff out back which is nice).

Further the cleanliness of the site had been declining, but it had failed to the point that pieces of flashing and tar paper were now drifting into neighboring lots.

I unloaded on the son of the GC who stopped by to go over paint colors. They claim they're making it right at their expense (they already had six guys come over and clean up the site...they say the drywall and masons are the worst trades when it comes to messes).
