As a kid, I used to stick my tongue under the flowers and drink the nectar. It was very sweet and I was fine. (But do this at your own risk, of course.) By the way, the poor thing grew in a small pot (the hoya, not my mom) in a horrible soil hard as a rock with all the nutrients sucked out of it long prior, never repotted, never fertilized, even watered highly irregularly - it felt like not for months! (although childhood memories are often exaggerated.) Yet it had one or two runners running literally around a big window and back, and flowered profusely every single year for many years. I have always loved black onyx, and when I seen the beads on the clearance area I got bouth packs was enough with other parts to make two bracelets. if you go to hobby lobby much check out there clearance, last week I got some real pretty crystal heart, two in a pack for .52, I think I paid $1.50 for the onyx beads, yes I am cheap, but in the end the results are the same. now what to do with those pretty hearts Happy Crafting oddie

deb....it is on wire....and the beads are bugle beads..long narrow glass. If I can find glass heart beads as pretty as those plastic ones I would make myself one with S silver bugle beads. I have one similar that is s silver and black glass beads. I just used what I had and bought the hearts...They are clear with pink flowers and green leaves all over them. Even though it is a cheapy...I love it. And I really don't think by looking at it that anyone would think it cheap. The center bead is pink glass with little white spots in it. the three graduated bead on each side are crystal with that finish that makes them shine with blues and pinks. patti

I've been on vacation for a week and just got back to my computer. I was just starting a post to ask you what was new, Nikki, and then thought I should check first to see if you had posted. Love looking at your jewelry. We were on the Outer Banks of NC for vacation and went to a fun bead store. Made a couple of bracelets and bought some other specialty beads for bookmarks I want to make. It was really fun. Wish I had money to invest and could open something like that myself. What a fun job! Wish I could take lessons from you. Keep up the beautifull work!
