Comments (9)Chelcass - I used E-6000 too , on mosiacs .You're not an oddball !!! It does hold great ! One of the reasons I like GE silicone on totems is that it grabs the glass pieces alittle faster. The stuff still slides around , but alittle less with silicone . ********** All of us here are oddballs in our own way ! LOL That's why we get along so good :)...See MoreGlue plate glass together?
Comments (5)You could glue the pieces to another sheet of glass, but the fracture lines will show, even if you use a water clear, gem repair epoxy. Also, it require good skill to get the pieces laid without trapping small air bubbles under the pieces. After the job is finsihed, the surface may not be smooth. If it is not smooth, you could risk cuts by running a finger across the surface. Any kind of polishing/grinding operation to smooth would wipe out the pattern you are trying to preserve. Sooo, if the pattern is reversible, try gluing with the pattern side down trapping it between the two layers of glass. It may create a nice effect, and the surface of the finished piece could be polished with polishing compound without affecting the pattern. Any antique value the glass may have had is lost. An alternative would be to find a local artist who could etch or otherwise decorate a piece of glass for you. Folks who build clock cases often can decorate glass....See MoreBest Glue for Attaching Ribbon to Glass?
Comments (10)Hey Kat! What you doing over here? lol Well, I found some stuff at Hobby Lobby (in the glues/adhesives)called "Zips" and it seems to be working fine. There's 24' of it in the box. There's strips of adhesive down the center of the "tape". Leveta..yes, I got one of the stands and I really like it! Regular $4.99, but I used the 40% off coupon!*S* I like that the bulb fits in the stand and you just sit the block over it. I also bought the little 7w light, instead of using the string of Christmas lights. I like that if the bulb burns out, it can be replaced really easy!...See MoreFollow up on glue for glass on glass
