Comments (14)ginny, really, not to worry.you're o.k. if you had a shattered piece, it would be awful but i think with cmeent and a clean break there's no huge worry. and yes, mark's solution is for outdoors cement. also, i think the treflers person you spoke to probly was just giving the 'lawsuit safe' answer. they could definitely fix it if you don't want to try it yourself. they've done a number of things for me over the years. you might also want to talk to your local masonry yard; they do sell concrete/cement sealants. we used such on an outdoor slate fntn because of flaking potential but we have never treated our outdoor cement sculptures. best, mindy...See MoreHow to repair broken pvc sump pump drainage pipe near sidewalk?
Comments (6)IF you are not equipped to chip away sidewalk concrete, and IF you need a patch that will be good for only a few years, you can sleeve the break INSIDE with a piece of PVC with a wide enough slit in it to allow it to close/compress down just enough to slip inside. Glue it to death. Keep in mind this is a ridiculous patch but it's one that will work, especially outdoors away from your house. Secondly, if I read this right and can assume that a 4" drain is huge for your pump, you could dig into the lawn just a little bit, reduce the outer lengths of the sump line to a 3" pipe, shove a 3" pipe into the broken sidewalk tube, and Bob's your uncle!...See Morerepairing designer resin outdoor angel
Comments (0)I repair & restore religious, indoor, outdoor items and also many other items that have to be brought back to life. Right now I am in the process of trying to repair a crack on the outside the the angel's wing. By the break, if it could be realigned I could just fill it in and paint it. But the resin is so strong, I cannot pry it apart to match it to the other side. I need to find out how to do this. Can this resin be softened so I can move & match the two pieces. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jen...See Morelauriemi
