If the space required by System Restore exceeds the amount available it will start deleting the oldest restore points. Maybe that's going on, you can change how much space system restore uses so I guess it would hold more restore points at the cost of talking up disk space.

I have it set to max. I did a system restore sometime in Nov. and NOW I cannot even go back to the Month of Nov. Anyone know what is going on? Thanks

it really depends on how often and how many restore points your pc is doing, it should be able to keep several weeks of restore points usually. It will depend on the amount of available space free on the drive and as zep said where the slider is set for how much you allocate to system restore.
Do you know how much free space you have on your hard drive?
Also does the calendar in system restore show any restore points made, that you can not get to, or do you not show any restore points made at all in Nov? You are clicking on the little back arrow on the calendar to get to Nov to check?

You have to look on the list and take them off one by one.it worked for me but it took some doing.

Raven, I have approx. 98% free space, and the slider is set for max space. I cannot go back to the month of November at all. The restore is set to monitor. I do't have a clue what is wrong with this thing. do you? Seems like the computer is not doing the restore point thing at all itself. why? Regards, P.K.

are you seeing it making your daily system restore points? check it daily and see if you see that it is making current restore points, also try making restore points yourself at various times to see if it will make them.

We have run across an infection recently that did disable system restore as part of it's payload, but it had many other significant payloads too which I think you would be seeing and having problems with.

Are you able to do scans? have you used Malwarebytes antimalware to check for infections? if not try that just to see what it shows.

Raven I made a restore point about two weeks ago, but it is not there, I made one yesterday, it is there, I cannot go back to the month of November. Seems the computer is not doing this on it's own. What next? Regards, from S.E. La. pk

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be found here: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt
* Please post contents of that file in your next reply

Raven, yes I have the program, and have run approx. one time a week I will do again, but it did not help the restore program. Did you know we had snow down here two weeks ago!Strange, pk.

yes I just went back home for Christmas and saw the pictures, saw the LSU campus covered with snow and the Tiger cage with snow in it LOL. I had some awesome boiled crawfish and giant boiled shrimp which I was sure would not be available since it had been so cold down there.

Ok when you have been running malwarebytes is it finding anything at all as far as infections?
