How do I transfer my favorites

I have an Compac laptop that the backlight for the moniter went on, so have been using a seperate moniter. I now have a new HP G72-B66US Notebook Windows 7 64-bit. I want to transfer my favorites from the old one to the new one. I have copied my "My Documents" folder to a portable hard drive to move to the new computer, but have not yet put them on here. I just haven't had time. It does have Norton 60 day trial on it for anti-virus, so I am protected that way.

Also, I can't use my old CanoScan N1220U flatbed scanner on here, either. Guess I will be looking for a new scanner, too, so any suggestions for a flatbed scanner that is easy to use, and isn't bulky would be appreciated.

Also not expensive!

Drag the favorites folder onto a flashdrive,

If your web browser is Internet Explorer, the location for the favorite's folder is:

in Windows Vista or Win 7

C:\Users\\Roaming\Favorites\

in Windows XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\\Favorites\

UN-less x marks or something like that would work, in that case you up load the favorites to a web site storage place, then on the new computer navigate to where you up loaded them and download them to the new computer. Others may know more about this way.

They are pretty dang tough. I always bury mien deeper in the ground then I grew them in their starting pots and they looked sad for about a day and the next they looked great. Hardening off is another subject. Like said above, a few leaves might get burned, but very unlikely you will loose a plant. Just and FYI, if you snap off new growth by accident, try putting it in the ground too, you may get it to root and have more plants! keriann~

THANK YOU! This looks like something that would do it although I'm not understanding how the gadget plugs into the two ports at the back of the old Panasonic (perhaps it just needs another cord with the red and white plugs at each end). I also did more web searching and came up with the Ion u-Record Music Archiver at Think Geek I'm not sure how it works...as it too just seems to connect the computer with the old music outfit, but this one seems to need software installed and I'm wondering if it is for more complex stuff than I'm trying to do. Has anyone used this? As I said before, I'm not very computer savvy (I'm from the old LP era) and appreciate being able to do this without a lot of frills and hassles. Dig around it--dig around it wide wide WIDE! Start at the drip line, i.e. the outermost circumference of the plant canopy. Out of paranoia, I'd dig to the depth of about the height of the plant, just to make sure the pretty part of the caudex will not be hacked accidentally. Then clean up the roots by first shaking the dirt off a bit then holding it under running water. When you see the roots, you will be able to tell what sort of pot you need. Personally, I will also trim the bare branches that stick out but you'd have to show us the plant from a different angle. Good luck! I'm excited for you. That plant does look severly root bound and I agree with Pelargonium_gw. Droopyness in Peace lilies often means there thirsty, it sometimes accounts for overwatering too but I don't think that's the case. It also looks a bit leggy.... How much sun does it get? Where is it situated? I don't think dividing it would really help the appearance in anyway and I don't think its needed. But if you want to divide you can. Rinse off all the old soil and after you'll be able to see the individual plants. Gently pulled them apart making sure no major roots are damaged and few roots are lost then pot it up. If it was my plant though, I'd do what Sans said and only repot it.

USE XMARKS!! it is the best way to do it, just set up an xmarks account which is free, add xmarks to your browsers there is a version for all browser types and it will save all your bookmarks and faves for you to a webpage you can log into at any time from any pc but it also automatically syncs all your pcs so that every one has the same updated bookmarks. When you do the new pc simply add the xmarks to your browser on that pc and tell it to sync and voila everything is now on the new pc. could not be easier. It does it all for you at the touch of a button.
