I'm always happy to see this; however, it still only seems to happen about 50% of the time. I've got a couple of others that I recently reported where there has been no action...

I usually repeat my report on the spam thread on the Test forum. Don't know if that gives it extra attention or not, but it gives me a place to trace it. I have noticed that lately, The Powers That Be have been really fast at zapping the spam. I suspect it's only one person doing the job part-time, no coverage on the weekends. But the job is getting done nicely.

Be sure to report the thread and also include a link to the spammer's member page.

I didn't click the links the spammer put to do so.
When I read what they posted, it didn't jive with the subject of the thread.
The poster was mtsoni and cain20588.
I just happened to jot them down to see if there were other posts of their intrusion.

I had notified GW about mtsoni on 12/5 and cain20588 on 12/3.

Urlee, I don't click on the spam links, but on the user name's "My Page", and I send in a link to that page to help GW ID the spammer, especially in legitimate threads with real posts.
