Those foam cans are a mess. I'm trying to use them as little as possible. I've been schmeering latex (dap230 or something) caulk in the rim joist area with xeps. I say 'schmeer' 'cause you can't get you get the caulk gun on the bottom joint. I've been putting in several (4) blocks of 2" xps in each bay and caulking between each. I'm gonna link up with the wall foam for a continuous layer - that's the plan anyways. You go through a lot of caulk, plus it's taking forever. I'm committed now though and stubborn. You're supposed to use non-petroleum based products with the foam, but I found the polyurethane foam was real stiff, and with all the schmeering with the fingers, the latex is probably better for the skin too as well as fumes and cost. I don't know if the latex has petroleum, but it doesn't appear to be melting the foam. My plan is to leave the foaming til last, since you have to use the whole can at once.

marie- The way you originally described it, it sounded like you wanted to install an old version of an operating system, not simply an older program. You can go ahead and install your old program. It may work, and the worst thing that will happen is that it won't work. If it doesn't install or doesn't work properly it will not ruin you computer or do anything bad to it. pkPonder. Thanks for replying to email. I'll take a look. I have my privacy settings straight I think. It took a while to understand and I also have a friend who announces new threats that FB has put upon our safety. I have not changed to messenger and know others have used it for awhile and wanted me to. Why? My bank credit card was used by an owner of a restaurant who had my receipt from the week before. The man wiped me out without swiping it or getting my signature. Yeah, I have gone after him. My bank investigators got him right away - when I notified them. It is disturbing in many ways. I caught him also swiping it twice and one of those swipes had no signature. It went thru my bank. Scary. Privacy is uncertain anywhere. Pay with cash some say. It is great news to know the site online I looked at shoes yesterday won't show up on FB the next day. I am a student to all of you and do listen. I come back here to just read. Also on FB there are come-ons within the postings. One yesterday shouted "Would you like to know more about your neighbor?" and a link. There were hundreds of people who responded with a resounding NO. FB lets us learn hard lessons on our own while counting the cash they made off of the deceitful people. I detest it but use it to keep up with friends - like everyone else. Next up I will ask u all how to get my "downloaded to PC" IOS pics and videos landing in the right direction and do I have the right software and other hard stuff to easily send them to FB and other places. I think most of you are Android users. But I will wait and let you digest the conundrums I have place on you so far.

Re: layout of kitchen, I like this plan without seating (since you don't want seating): Vs: this plan For or a couple reasons: 1) fridge is closer to living and dining room preventing traffic into the kitchen and easier to fetch things when eating and 2) a nice wall hood with beautiful backsplash is always a nice focal point from the living room vs a fridge and 3) cooktop is more protected and not in an aisle Mama Goose already addressed the concern I had re: bathroom visibility by moving the opening.
