What File name does Firefox use for it's Bookmarks?

Mozilla some how installed an update that I really don't like, I'm going to delete it, and reload what I had. i looked at C:\Mozilla but
nothing shows uplike; bookmarks, Cookies, etc, what might they
be called. Thanks Tons. OH, Windows 7 Home Premium, Mozilla
v24.0

places.sqlite?

By the way, an easy way to get to it is through:

Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Open Directory(beside Profile Directory)

Thanks chuggerguy, about once a year FF gets updated to something I just hate, I'm going back to the way I had FF 24 setup.

I lost 'spell check' years ago on Firefox. I could not get it back and it disappeared on all my computers (XP and Win 7). Never could find the solution and tried the various fixes FF offers. June once you click the bookmarks and get the drop down simply click "Show all bookmarks" at the bottom. This brings a new window where you can drag those unsorted favs into the "Bookmarks menu". Once they are all there you can right click on the Bookmarks menu and click to sort by name thereby bringing them all back to the one click you want. I do like the bookmarks toolbar for my most often used links and it is only about a quarter inch in depth. I shorten all names used on the toolbar so they are all visible, works great for me.

I am not getting these follow-up posts emailed to me even though i checked to have emails sent - so I didn't know there was more. I hope they keep supporting version 3 - since we have 5 xp computers between home and work. I do have FF4 on dd's laptop - but not quite sure how it's going for her. She said she didn't like it - and I offered to try above suggestions to make it appear more like she's familiar with. She wants me to in theory - but in reality never wants to hand over the computer to have me do it. When I have more leisure to try again, am I recalling correctly that I can have 2 firefoxes installed - one version 3, and one version 4? And I can use xmarks to sync bookmarks, etc. That way I can get used to ff4 - but go back to 3 for the times I need things to go smoothly and not tinker? Any special instructions for doing 2 firefoxes? Thank you. Lynn. PS - still wonder if anyone else if having the issue where responses don't get emailed to them. This happens now for all my posts the last month - on this and the cooking forum.

When I click on bookmarks I get "Yahoo Bookmarks. Welcome to Yahoo. Enjoy all benefits of yahoo." A box with "Don't have a Yahoo ID? Signup is easy," requests your ID like your email name and password. Didn't have to do this with XP or other, just marked it. Any way I can get around this? I didn't find any options to avoid this. Just getting acquainted with Vista, can't say I'm crazy about it yet.

You're welcome.

Yeah, I think I've had to search for settings they've stashed away in about:config a couple times myself. Tabs-on-top and/or a new download dialog method, or lack of, something like that, I don't remember right now.

I try to stay up to date for security... but tweak to suit "me". :)
