Yes, I was young and I remember the time of these artist. It was all about the music back then. It was only when I got older that I started looking at their life styles. Even at my advanced age, the music trumps their life styles. I'm not a good role model for young people. Hey Mimi, if you like Enya you may like Mazzy Starr, same kind of gentleness but "darker and smokier". I play her CDs and Enya's out in the garden sometimes. I play a lot of different kinds of music; I've always liked diversity and we used to have an original music club so I was exposed to lots of different types of music through it. There are times when I'm driving or working around the house or on the computer when ska, Irish and Scottish type music(I really love bagpipes!), alternative, heavy metal(I have to admit to liking a tiny bit of that, about enough to fill up a couple of cd's), punk(uhm, did I really say that???), new wave(Yum! Dire Straits and Talking Heads ruled, they were the light at the end of the tunnel for me), reggae, dance(Moby, NIN, Filter, etc), Romance / Angst, well, lots and lots of kinds of music, have more appeal. For out in the garden, working by myself, I find that the natural rhythms and sounds in (what I thought was "world music" but I think they're calling Latin based music "World Music" now) drum circle music help me get "centered". Oh yes, forgot to mention Sting's 'Desert Rose' is another nice number. I'd really love to have more of that kind of music.

Yes, that is an old British folk song played for dances. I know that it was very early on played on the harpsichord or harp. It is fun to dance to using the old 18th century dance steps. I can't remember the names of the two Americans who wrote the lyrics (and arrangement), but it wasn't Jimmy Rogers. He just sang it (me thinks). Jimmy Rogers was very popular when I was a small girl and my grandparents collected his music sold on LP albums back then. They also liked Berle Ives and had much of his recordings, as well. He sang many of the old folk tunes too. I have heard another lyrics version with British "critter" species and using more of the old plant names, but don't know who wrote them nor when. Hi Joe, I am pleased to tell you that Fix it fixed the problem. I now have the most current Quick Time Update. Here is what it told me. Was that OK to do? After it removed Quick Time out of Add/Remove programs I then went back to this site and downloaded the newest version from the site that mikie gave me and it worked without any problems.
