glass cigar holders

I would like to find several of those glass cigar holders. They are just the right size to hold crochet hooks I havae asked at the cigarette stores here in town and they don't want to help me, so now what do I do?

How about toothbrush holders? Know they aren't clear, but maybe you could find some clear ones, or use particular colors for particular sizes, I do, and have for years. Find they are the greatest, and no breakage!

I don't have a glass mounted TP holder, but I can visualize what it would look like to a person in the shower. The adhesive posts stuck to the glass probably look bubbly and maybe white or yellowish from the adhesive pads? I would consider getting a piece of dark tinted film like the kind you use on car windows to make them dark for privacy. I think this stuff just sticks by using some water underneath. Wouldn't that hide the ugly nature of those posts? If it doesn't work, just peel it off.

Any room in them for the glass marble things either flat or round? Glass flowers would break if tipped over so the length of stems has some bearing. i have 2 with 9 inch stems so would tip over unless vase was quite high. Even if you used GE II, if vase was too short it will be top heavy. I've seen the 9 in. stem ones in a clear stuff-looks like water but doesn't move but the vase comes up to about 2 inches from top of stem so talking 7 in. tall vase. Also some flowers, my bud is pretty compact but the blue one is spread out & so would fall over easier. Think you need to experiment around & have hands ready to grab the flowers, maybe someone else has better ideas!! Good luck!! Even resin wouldn't help if vase isn't tall enough! Jan

Oh didn't think about that. Upper cabinets are usually 12 inches deep which is the same width as my lights... If I had an 8 inch light I think that would work, with 12 inches it would be a tight fit at best. But yeah thats smart thinking, I never even considered that. If its the best option I have left then i'd just return my 12 inch lights and get 8 inch lights

If you do find the cigar holders will you give us a yell..they are a hot commodity in the Altered Arts community and really hard to find.

What is the Altered Arts Community.
One lady suggested I go to e bay. I did and found several but I do not want to pay for them. I would like to get them free or by trading. ggks

Vanilla beans come in glass tubes. Or you can try a lab for used test tubes.

I have seen them at the flea markets and yard sales, ( not free )but cheap.

You might check in the grocery candy aisles for the M&M minis that come in colored plastic tubes. They are a nice size, very sturdy, and have a top that is attached and snaps closed. If you're not an m&m eater, you could certainly find someone to give the candy to, and just keep the tubes.
