That is the one thing I have noticed since scouring the net and asking everyone and anyone in the know their opinions on who makes the most well put together laptop. It seems that many folks are extreemely loyal to one particular product or brandname, but one brandname doesn't seem to be conclusive over the other. The Imac sure has its very loyal following, as well as Dell and Toshiba and, another brand rapidly picking up steem is HP, especially their DV6000 and DV9000 lines. I am beginning to conclude that at this point, figure out exactly how much of a laptop you need and can afford, paying particular attention to Size of Hard Drive, How much Memory (RAM), and third, how much graphics card, and lastly and most important, the CPU. I have concluded that the duel core processor is important, as it is essentially two processors stapped together, and the OS uses one for certain functions and the other for certain functions, and most importantly, only one is being used and powered when both are not needed, saving battery power and overall electric consumption. Another rule of thumb, to save money, get the base core duo (1.60GHz, I believe), and skip the upgrade on the CPU and get 2G's of RAM, as your CPU runs out of cache space for storage, it will draw from Ram, and adding RAM is much cheaper than adding a high end CPU. Bottom line, I'm waiting for some hot sales. Another thing to think about is size, and yeah, folks, size does matter... Most of the 17" models that I've tried out in the stores just seem too damn big and heavy, especially if your going to use the thing as a LAP top... it's just too damn big for my lap, and I have a big lap at that... the 12" is just too small, especialy for viewing movies, etc. That's the one thing that turned me off from the DELL XPS 1200... hot looking little machine... just too small. 14-15" seems just right for my taste. It seems to me that all these machines (Toshiba, Dell, HP and many others) are all beginning to become clones of one another. Seems they are are made in China nowadays, and no one has yet to convince me overwhelmingly that one is better than the other...

ok I can answer some of them. so you have a gig in your pc as 2x512 so to go up another gig you would have to change to 2x1gig sticks unless you happen to have 4 slots with 2 still empty. you can do a 1 gig stick and a 512 stick but it is better to have them matched. Now to know what your pc can take I would run belarc advisor, it will tell you exactly how many slots you have how much it can take and what type of memory you need. I will give you the link for that. I always say the best thing to upgrade first is the RAM often times once you have upped the ram you will find a lot of things that were giving you problems work better and video can be one of those. That is no guarantee though. But it sure can not hurt anything. I usually get my Ram from newegg.com they have very good prices, I just paid $18 for a 1 gig stick for one of my pcs. I got Kingston. From a quick glance and reading, I am not seeing or hearing real problems if you have a good stocked Small Engines Shop close. I have a late 70s Craftsman’s Saw. The key factor is who Sears put their label on vs building. This is not critical on generic parts as fuel lines. The Small engine’s shop will know. Even the spring mentioned can be considered generic “Possibly”. Get quality fuel line that will cost more but will be better spent money and time. Good quality line will stretch before you break it. This is needed because you will need to cut the line into thin tapers to feed and pull “it into the tank and port areas as it seals from the tight fits. The screw is stripped in plastic. Usually I can force the opening open with a thin screwdriver in the seam while screwing the stripped screw out (replace with a larger self tapping screw X Home Depot or Etc.. Please post some Pics of your saw. It looks like it could be a later Poulan that Sears put their label on. I hope you know the basics as oil/gas mix, basic maintenance and use or get a manual. My pools of oil were from split oil tanks gaskets leaking vs later plastic tanks. Or! The oil pumps line could be cracked or broken. It is time for some careful disassembling taking Pics and notes of problems to share with questions....
