Sorry! I posted in the garden and flower crafts. I guess it should have been posted here.. Iam sorry !To many hours at the sewing machine today my eyes are starting to cross .

PrimMart is my favorite Primitives message board. I don't know if they are accepting new members now or not - but it is fantastic. The talents of the members are astonishing!

I am so thrilled to see that there are others on Garden Web that like primitives. I too discovered Prim Mart and it is my favorite. I have been very frustrated by not being able to find really good primitive decorating sites. If you know of any other than Prim Mart, please share. :)

There was a frost that happened right around the time this hosta's leaves were just coming up. The other hosta near it were a little more developed so they may have been more resistant to it. It does get more sun than some of the other hosta nearby - but not the hosta to the right of this one. Caliloo - are you still getting more of this or is it done with it's cycle. Hi We did well just selling out of the back of our pickup truck. We just parked it at the end of the driveway and stuck an umbrella up over the tailgate and pilled up the melons and corn. The stand was operational from noon until 6pm. We made a few hundred dollars during the summer.

Here's a repost of my $.02: I have bought individual items as well as sets; one advantage to a set of pots is that you learn about the responsiveness of one pan, it's pretty much the same across that line. That's not that big an advantage, to be sure. After all, you're gonna be watching the pot anyway, right? Restating some of the points of earlier posters, you'd do well to buy individual items (of very good quality) that perform the function you want that pot to do. If I were to stock a new kitchen today, here's what I'd start with: A couple of enameled cast iron dutch ovens of size appropriate to your needs. Those babies are some of the most versatile items you can get. Very worthwhile if you do a lot of braising. A nonstick frypan or two for sticky stuff like eggs (Sam's Club has some Tramontina skillets, a set of 3 for around $30) A black cast iron skillet for searing meats A big stockpot for soups and boiling pasta. A couple of saucepans: if you really do make fancy sauces then it's worth it to get very responsive pots. If, like many people, you use saucepans just to warm things up, the quality is not as critical. One item most people don't think of is a pressure cooker. I'm sold on them, and wouldn't want to have a kitchen without one. If you think of pressure cookers as those things that your mom told you stories about them blowing up, do know that they've improved them greatly in the past couple of decades. A Kuhn Rikon 8 qt stockpot/pressure cooker is an awfully nice indulgence and you can cook a great deal of comfort food quite quickly. Check out any of Lorna Sass's cookbooks and missvickie.com if you are at all interested. Whatever you get, get items you will enjoy using.

This could be just a matter of not scoring the tape before pulling it, no? When you tape and then paint over the tape, you have created a seal there between the trim and the walls. You can't really just pull the tape without breaking that seal first or you may pull mass amounts of wall paint off in sheets. You can break that seal with a sharp putty knife or razor knife. This paint is not cured...in a month of so it will be stuck a lot better than it is now. I'm not saying there isn't an adhesion issue...there may very well be one, but I am saying that it could also be just a matter of not scoring the tape before pulling it.

iowagirl2006, I just went into the Prim Mart site--looks really incredible. I started to sign up, then got worried that I would be getting all kinds of spam on my email account. Does that happen to you? Tell me why you like the site so much, please.

No, you won't get spam from signing up at PrimMart.

I also belong to a Prim and Rustic Decorating and Crafts board on Delphi and love it. Just the Tips and Photo Albums alone are worth it. It's a busy site!

No spam from PrimMart. I am not 100% sure they are accepting new members - but go ahead and try - she might be.

PrimMart is a very busy forum. When you are a registered member you will see more of the forums available. Everyone there is VERY nice and if you have a question - it will be answered almost immediatly. It is a high traffic site.

You do need to be an active member. I don't think they allow lurkers. If you don't post, they don't keep you. You don't have to post a ton, but they do like the members to contribute. Not hard to do - lots of great conversations there!

In all of the forums I have ever seen Prim Mart is one of the nicest and kindest places around. No nastyness!
