(you mentioned both) which program is he using to burn the disc? Is he using any software that came with the camera to accomplish any part of this process? If yes, what is it?

esteban if you do have java on your pc you need to make absolutely sure you are keeping it updated to the latest version and have removed all the old versions, most of the worst infections these days are coming through java vulnerabilities. To update java go to control panel select java, open the update tab and select to update now. To make sure all old versions are removed use the free javara tool. I got in trouble for mentioning another place I got info from about this; suffice it to say that wasn't mentioned, so thanks. It makes sense. "The concrete corner against the house might be a candidate for lifting and putting stone underneath." I wondered about that, too, some said not that the earth underneath probably wasn't packed tight enough causing it to do that. That would be tricky and require professional expertise, could be dangerous. "The steps are goners. Maybe you'd like to form out your own steps and have someone pour and trowel them. It's not overly difficult." Even when I was younger, I don't think I could use a sledge hammer to get the old concrete out. It's not an option unless someone in the family can do all that digging. I'm wondering if those steps were ever really poured or just pre-poured slabs laid in stairstep fashion. Either way, after all these years, you would expect some damage, from soil shifting behind them and heaving from freezing and thawing. I think a lot of corners were cut when my house was built (just found out it was 1931). That was during the depression. Even some of the more expensive homes down the street were built the same. Instead of plastering the walls, they put up some primitive type of drywall, about 3/8" to 1/4" thick, held together by fibery stuff. It's awful, and I've had a lot of it replaced, but it all needs to go eventually. Some people are surprised when they see it because they never heard of it. It has become extremely brittle as it aged. The room I'm writing from was a later addition, and the walls have real plaster. That has nothing to do with the steps. Someone was supposed to come this weekend to size up the job, hasn't showed up yet. I appreciate the extra info. The corners thing could save me a lot of grief if I insist on having it done the way you say even if I am not planning to anchor the new rails to them but further back. I'll see what my options are there. I think that's why they broke off in the first place, the stress of the rails which were anchored there and to the house. I think I'm going to see if the new ones I'm having made can have three anchor points which might relieve some of the stress on the other part or I could end up with a similar problem with the undamaged part all over again. Hi,Materials you need about 2 sacks of concrete, 4 2x4 simpson ties, one simpson post support to fit post 4x4 or 3.5x3.5, 2 bolts and nuts to fit post support. Measure height and square of post. Measure center of next post to the center of one to be replaced. Remove all staples in old post cut nails from rails to post.Remove post and dig out concrete keep the hole as small as possible Fill hole with concrete and install post support on center as measured. make sure the metal on the support are not against the rails or another way is the holes to support the post when installed are against the fence fabric. Install so the bottom of the post is a little above grade.Let the concrete set. If the bottom of the post is ok you might be able to use it again. When the concret is set install the post with the bolts and secure the rails using the 2x4 simpson ties. Good Luck Woodbutcher
