Thanks Mikie, but I have IE 7 and don't have anything that looks like that pic or anything similar that I can see via IE>tools>internet options> and checked all of the tabs...thus no way to change things that way. Am I missing something there? Might anyone know that has IE 7? Should I maybe just update to IE 8? Advantages? Disadvantages? It seems there should be some way to get the setting right in IE. btw...a friend had been here, so when I went to the Windows live log-in page it was also showing her email addy too. Just for kicks and giggles I clicked on her email addy to see it if would go to her In box without asking for a password. No go...it asked for a password on hers.

OK you obviously know where the files are on the computer, we'll assume here they are in My Documents/Clippings. This means they are all in a sub folder of My Documents in the folder Clippings. Right click the Start button click Explore in the pop up and a new window appears - Windows Explorer On the left side near the top look for My Documents click the small plus + sign beside it and other folders that are inside that folder now show underneath click the Clippings folder and all the contents now appear on the right side of your screen. To select those to delete one at a time simply right click on any file in the right side and in the pop up click Delete. Confirm and it is gone. To delete more than one at a time hold down the CTRL button on the keyboard then click each item to be deleted so it becomes highlighted. When ready release the CTRL button, right click on any highlighted file and click Delete in the pop up. Confirm. To delete a contiguous batch click the first one to be deleted to highlight it, hold down the Shift key and click the last one to be selected. Now all those in between are highlighted, right click on any one of those and click Delete in the pop up. Confirm. Done, assuming that is what you want.

Update: I finally found a way to read my clippings on "my page", but I still don't see how to delete anything. What am I overlooking? In the meantime, I discovered that it is simpler just to select/copy items of interest and paste them into a WORD document. It is much easier to copy a whole discussion thread than it is to clip each separate entry. Now I can group several threads according to topic. In a couple of hours, I was able to put together 50+ pages of information about undercounter lighting, recessed lighting, florescent bulbs, etc. We are attending a lighting seminar this evening. We attended a similar seminar last year when we began thinking about remodeling. Now it is time to order lights this week, so we need an updated refresher. This forum has helped me formulate many questions that I never would have dreamed of asking. Thank you!!

I do it on all my cameras after I upload the pics to computer I check them out that they are on the computer and what they look lik then I go back to the drive where the camera is and delete all items then I right click on the drive and eject. Tht way it cleans up tht drive (read tht somewhere) I end up with n empty camera disk. some times I putthe disk in the computer sometimes I upload with a cord from computer to camera works the same both ways
