RC, any decent little 7" tablets out there that you have seen on CG with Android 2.3 or better for a steal???

Think I finally got the 10" Flytouch 3 working the way it was supposed to with a hard reset to factory..Still not a whiz with androic like I imagine you are...lol

well I just ordered the other day this one which is a refurb but if you go to amazon and some of the other sites with user reviews you will see it has a good over all review. It is an 8" size. It has a 1Ghz processor rather than the 8. Not a dual core but at least more powerful.
Plus it has the higher resolution and does a lot of interesting other stuff.

Looks good, kinda rich for a little toy..lol...should have mentioned, I am in Canada so that creates some problems with online ordering from some of those stores (including Amazon)...Not in any big rush, so maybe I will keep my eyes open and China Grabber may have some good deals soon..Thats where I got the Flytouch..since the reset, its actually doing pretty good..biggest complaint so far with it is the wifi reception distance..not very good...Will have to try hooking up the GPS antenna and see if I can get rid of that Shanghi location..bugs the crap out of me...

I have had my almost 10 inch Samsung tab A for several years and it's still going strong and not one issue with it. Got my husband a Samsung tab E last year for father's day and that works good too. I have a small battery operated wireless keyboard for it but seldom use it. Mary

Since an Android Tablet is identical (other than size) to an Android phone but with no "phone", I have both because we have Android phones and iPads. Apple products command a price premium (which I think has allowed Android tablet sellers to creep up their prices too). I'm not sure they're worth the extra money unless ease of use is important and your other devices in the house are from Apple because cross product integration is pretty automatic and slick. iPad firmware makes everything easy but also inflexible. If you've been happy using an Android tablet, you'd probably gain nothing paying extra from an iPad and both product families do essentially the same thing the same way. I would recommend staying away from the low price point ones. In the $200-$300 range you'll find a good selection of Android products from bigger name companies. But be careful, most break when dropped.

Don't have Apple and won't have them so only android for me. My elderly aunts in there 80's only have computers and can only learn 1 thing so Facebook works best for them. They don't have cell phones. My Mom's young grand kids can do everything. Used Facebook for years now and find it the easiest to communicate with friends plus have found some old high school chums by way of facebook. I was able to Find distant relatives on my Dad's side by way of facebook to let them know of my Mom's passing. Find it a really wonderful tool when I had to do live feeds for every one in the family at once. Can you do that with Skype? I have only ever Skyped one at a time so never looked into it since facebook had the capability to broadcast live to every one and the elderly don't have skype. Family that couldn't attend my Mom's funeral got to see everyone sing her favorite song at the grave site while it was live. I got so many thank you's for doing that so was worth it. I guess it all depends on how you like to do things online as to what you use. Mary

Miele dishwasher detergent tablets

Though it wasn't for a Miele dishwasher, I bought the Miele ultra tabs once out of curiosity (I'm a fan of the brand and they had good reviews), and the oversudsing is a serious issue. This was in my last house with average-to-slightly-hard water and a GE Profile dishwasher. I ran it with a full tab and you could hear the machine straining because it was sucking up so much air from the soap suds. It sounded so bad that I was afraid the machine would be damaged. I opened the door and the bottom was all white foam. Cutting them in half helped, and they got the dishes very clean, without any pre-rinsing. However, I never bought, nor will buy, them again. Considering the high price, the fact that I had to perform labor to make it work properly, and the excellent performance I've gotten with Cascade Complete or Kirkland Signature (without extra work and for far less money), the Miele tabs lost their appeal. I also experienced similar oversudsing issues with Cascade Platinum and the latest version of Finish Quantum, so I stick to the aforementioned Complete or KS.

my sylvania has the Shanghi location but I set it in the settings and after a brief time at the boot up it then switches and gives the correct location and time and weather but it does always start on boot with the original location info.

Well I just got a notice that the Vizio is now at Buy.com for $179.99

China Grabber always has a good selection I was going to get one from there but then I saw some info on the vizio and decided to give it a try. Hopefully they will do an update to it in th future to 3.0.

I have seen a few that had a mash up with 2.3 and 3.0, interface was 3.0 the rest 2.3.

I know from what I have read the launcher for the vizio is not the best so I will probably go with a launcher from the market like launcher pro.
