sp3 is exactly the same nothing has changed with it what I am saying is those are the end of support days that MS has issued. If it caused problems originally it is still the same service pack and would likely have the same response. I have one of mine that still has sp2 also because of the AMD processor and some of the conflicts it had with sp3, whether I will try to go to sp3 I have not decided yet. But if I did I would do it not through windows updates but from the actual sp3 update site either by ordering the cd or downloading the update then I would follow all the original suggestions for installing it like disconnecting from internet, disabling all antivirus programs and firewalls and doing the install that way or even in safe mode, that would give the best results and is how it has been suggested to do it since the beginning. Of course many people had no problem installing sp3 but for those who did have problems it was pretty scary going and definitely put some off of trying it.

I have the ASPIRE ONE 722- BZ454 net book...I do not see on the back of my net book any numbers like you had mentioned AOA110 or the other...so what does this mean? I have an updated net book? My battery is fine so far, but just wanted to check in the event this may happen to mine in the future. BTW, I used just once the internal camera...when I first bought this unit, and now I don't know how to initiate it. No manual or anything.

often times you will have to ask for their free wifi code, even though it is free they want to make sure only their customers are uisng the free wifi, not all do that but I have been at a few that did. But other than that yes you just turn on the wifi antenna switch on the netbook and it will search for any available networks and show them to you in a list it will say if they are secured or unsecured, you can not access a secured one with out a password. For example mine here at home is secured so when my family comes to visit I have to give them my wifi access code to enter in their laptop so they can then use my wifi. Usually DSL come with a modem, which has several places in it to add some extra lines so all you would need is just another one of the ethernet cables like the one that goes from your modem to your desktop pc and plug that in from the back of the modem into your netbook so you can use the dsl you currently have. NO there is no additional charge when you add another pc. I agree that you will be able to use your netbook a lot more if you bought yourself a wifi router to plug into that modem, then you could use your netbook wirelessly anywhere in your house. I picked mine up at walmart.

I like newegg but will not purchase a pc from them because of their no refund policy, they will only replace, I had a choice of them and walmart on 2 different computers I have bought and got both from walmart for their super return policy, can take it right to any store. So be aware of the policy at where ever you do buy. i do buy most of my memory from newegg and other parts. Acer Aspire 11.6" Netbook with Intel Atom Processor, 6 Cell Battery and Windows XP you can select any color you want there. it has usb ports you can use usb mouse or keyboard I use a usb wireless mouse with mine but you can use a usb corded version. there is not a ps2 port. it does have one vga video port. my biggest complaint on mine and this seems to be pretty consistent with most netbooks is how weak the speakers are, I have hearing issues and on some things I can barely hear it, if there is any noise in the room I can not hear it but carrying a little set of earbuds that I can plug in fixes that problem or connecting to stand alone speakers or a head set.
