Punk, I had to close the blinds so I could get a picture of that window ledge. Made me laugh when I read "hiding in the dark". LOL The cherub on the moon was a good find, sort of unique and it has a really nice finish on it. The one holding the bird is my favorite, just love the expression and pose of the little guy. I need to come up with an idea for using him with a birdhouse or something for a centerpiece sometime. Punk, the little hearts are not painted on the plates, just wooden ones I used textured snow on and then painted to resemble "cookies". Sunny Ca., maybe that explains the different colors on the cherubs. Maybe I'm just too picky but the variations bugged me. LOL DD, thanks for your sweet comment about my painted items. This is the only painted Valentine thing I have! Need to get busy and make some for outside--I usually like to have things to hang on my side gate and the lamp post, and might need a plant stake or two as well. Better get busy, huh? Thanks, OA .... I don't know how many yrs now I've had that vine tree ... somewhere in the 10 yr vicinity at least. Anyway, I first saw a 'vine tree' @ a great Fall craft show in a nearby town that I go to every year. Some gal had a half dozen or so on display ... & I think her price was about $100 ... way too much for me to spend @that time. So, anyway, I dreamed of making a vine tree from our woods on a tomato cage or something, but it never happened. Then on a day trip with a couple of my best friends, we walked into a specialty gift shop & low & behold, here stood this vine tree ... for sale!! The owner said they used it in their displays but it was so big to store so they were just keeping their smaller one (probably about a 2') ...anyway, that vine tree went home with me & I've been decorating it for Fall, Christmas & Valentine's ever since. I love it & it's still going strong & I got it @a bargain price I thought was reasonable. ;-) ~~Jeanne S p.s. I think Jane & Party have both made their own!

Oh goodness, you are all so sweet. If you only knew how I struggle with trying to figure out what to put with what! LOL I'll try to answer some of the questions: The plates with the roses stay up all year round, I love rose plates and while a few of these came from antique stores, most were found while treasure hunting at the TS. I have some more plates, some were the gifts from our own Purplemoon when I visited her, that I'm trying to decide how to arrange on another wall either in the MB or GB. Seeing roses just makes me happy! The jar was purchased when I visited Nell Hill's store in Atchison, Ks. last summer and I've really enjoyed using it. I just added the berries because that's all I could find that was red at the time. I was really trying to spread the red/white theme all across the top of the buffet. All of the cherubs, including some more that are flesh colored, have been found here and there at various TS. I thought I would like the skin toned ones best, but I actually find the white ones easier to decorate with. And no, Kathleen, I haven't painted a heart on DH's cast yet--he won't let me even autograph it! LOL Donna, so nice to have you joining in here too. I started out on Garden Junk, then branched out to Painting, Crafts, and here. I love them all, so many nice people and fun ideas. Please make yourself right at home here. Now I have a question. I have three cherubs that are made to sit on the edge of something. At first I thought I'd sit them on the mantle but then was worried that they might fall off and hit the brick below. Does anyone have any experience with those? Should I put a dot of hot glue or something on the bottom before I sit them on a shelf? I'm sort of thinking that the two smaller ones might end up on a wreath. We'll see. Glad you enjoyed my efforts, I'll be anxiously waiting to see what all of you come up with too. Luvs
