Luvs...there's so much to comment on, but first off I will say I LOVE IT ALL!
That Painted sign is such a nice 'Welcoming to Valentine's Day' I like the soft colors you used.
The red on your table, does make everything look very festive.. I think I like the second table best..maybe it's the the way the napkins look and I like the faux cookies on the plates. Did you use 'Bakers Dough' for those? They look great.
I like your display with the bunnies sitting by your window...did you paint them in a ceramic class? They're very nice.
I love how you set up your buffet with the cherubs surrounded by your floral plates ...I like the beaded garland and the cherub holding the bird is my favorite.
I know what you mean about 'different whites'...but I think they all work nicely here.
Your mantel looks lovely. I like how the lace runner sets everything off. You have many nice figures there.
I think the taper candles work very well in this setting. Everything is delicate and I think the chunky candles might overpower the look. How about adding two more smaller tapers, one on either end, but not at the Very end of your mantel...maybe right in between the small figures and the large figure. JMO
I'll say it again... Everything looks just lovely..

You ladies have definitely inspired me. I really don't have any Valentine Decos..but you Are inspiring me!! lol

2nd table I like the best...the fan'd napkins & the cute cookies...but I'm glad you kept those cute little hearts on the table!

Your tole painting is BEAUTIFUL! And the cherub centerpc is wonderful! RED & WHITE...looks so pretty! Like the white roses in vase on buffet, too! And your collection of cherubs are so CUTE! The whites look good tog!

Bunnies are so cute sitting there! I got another cement bunny for gardens at TJMaxx again the other day...one last yr., this is another pose from "Stone Bunny." ($7.99 bargain!)

Everything looks lovely. I think the different shades of white add contrast and interest.
My favorite part is the cherub centerpiece and the roses, a timeless pairing.
No decorations coming from me for another week or so. LOL

You have a wonderful collection of Cherubs! Especially the one on the MOON. LOL. And the big one holding the bird. But I love all of them. Your ledge with the bunnies is a favorite area of mine to see you decorate.
Everything looks great and festive. Red does perk us up again after losing our Christmas colorfulness.
I'm going to be the odd guy out...LOL...but I like the napkins in the first tablesetting best.
I don't remember if I ever told you before how much I like those candle sconces above your mantle. Very pretty!

Jane, I like your suggestion to use two more candles on the mantel. That will help spread the red out more too.

Karen, I've had those sconces for years--think they came from a Home Interiors party. I thought about changing out the globes for red candles like I did at Christmas--but figured everything in there is red/pink combination anyway.

The faux cookies were actually wood hearts that I cut out and covered with the snow texture paste then painted and sprinkled with clear glitter. I did both sides because I wasn't sure whether I would be hanging them or not.

One of my "someday" wishes is to have a heftier wooden mantel and surround for my fireplace. I've also given some thought to painting the room a soft grey green and painting the fireplace white--but DH thinks I'm crazy!

I'm glad you enjoyed my little bit of Valentine's decor. Nice to have it up, now maybe I'll use the leftover time to create a couple of new decorations I've seen ideas for.

Love the bunnies in your LR picutre. They look like they are hiding in the dark with a couple more of your beautiful painted trays.haha

Like all the things you painted especially the 1st pic. I think the 1st table looks more "formal" & 2nd more festive & fun! Your rose plates work in well with the Valentine things. Hey, some of those cherubs are older than others, or it's Ca. maybe the 1 spent a day at the beach! Very nice decorating! Jan

Luvs, its so nice to see what you have put up around your home for Valentine's Day! Everyone has different decorations but you always have at least one thing you painted/made which makes yours special. I really love the rose sign you have hanging on your garage. You painted such nice colours on it, so soft and pretty. I like both versions of your tablescape but like the fanned napkin one the best. Your cherub collection is terrific and I don't think it matters about the different whites. I would never have thought to collect those for Valentine's but they are perfect. Love your bunnies too - won't be long and they'll be right in "season"!

Punk, I had to close the blinds so I could get a picture of that window ledge. Made me laugh when I read "hiding in the dark". LOL

The cherub on the moon was a good find, sort of unique and it has a really nice finish on it. The one holding the bird is my favorite, just love the expression and pose of the little guy. I need to come up with an idea for using him with a birdhouse or something for a centerpiece sometime.

Punk, the little hearts are not painted on the plates, just wooden ones I used textured snow on and then painted to resemble "cookies".

Sunny Ca., maybe that explains the different colors on the cherubs. Maybe I'm just too picky but the variations bugged me. LOL

DD, thanks for your sweet comment about my painted items. This is the only painted Valentine thing I have! Need to get busy and make some for outside--I usually like to have things to hang on my side gate and the lamp post, and might need a plant stake or two as well. Better get busy, huh?

Luvs....Everything is great! I love all of the cherubs and the variation of color just add to the interest and in fact when I was looking at the pictures without readying your comments, I noticed the figures not the colors. Each one is a treasure.

I like both table setting but the second is my fave, it seems to be a light theme, more fun and made me smile.

Thanks for posting on the art forum, I forget to check this is one out and I always am stunned at all of the wonderful pictures.

You have really got the Valentine spirit. The wall of rose plates is beautiful, you can never have too many rose plates for me. The second table is my pick, it is just stunning with those red roses and cherubs. I used to collect cherubs, but have moved on to other things, but I still have a few. Your Valentine sign and tray are beautifully done, I can't paint the open roses very well, just the buds. My bunnies are really calling to me from the attic after seeing yours and Karens. They have a really pretty big bunnie cookie jar at one of my local TS and it has been all I can do not to bring it home. Thanks for sharing.

So many lovely things and I am especially taken with your plates as I'm sorta, kinda, a *bit* of a plate addict! LOL Of course I love your painted heart, so delicate and pretty.

Your tablescape is very nicely done and I'm "stealing" the wooden heart cookies idea. I hadn't used mine yet this year as I'm tired of them but can tweak and make them into cookies! ;-)

The napkins look good either way, I'm not good at decisions where both look good!

You have a lot of cherubs and I think the difference in color is fine when arranged with red accents and garland between.

I'm heading off to see what plates I can use for another 'scape - thanks for the inspiration!

I wrote a long post here on Saturday and lost it because I'm still not used to my new laptop. I meant to come back later when I cooled down and stopped wanting to bash this thing, but I forgot. As always, I love your holiday decs! I especially like your pretty, pretty Valentine table. The red & white check napkins really pop with your white lace tablecloth and red roses! I'm loving your red chargers, too. I bought some ~ finally~ the other day at HL, but the edges on yours are much nicer.
I like the pink candles in your sconces above your mantle. They echo the pink in your art there. Is that a lace runner you have on the mantle or individual doilies? It's very pretty! I've never been very fond of most dish displays on walls, but I really like yours! The different rose patterns works well together and I like how you've varied the plate sizes. Very nice!!
