WOT warning on freewebpage.org...hmmmm

A GW member posted a link to their trade list which is on their personal web page. While I don't usually go off the GW site to bother looking at anyone's list, I did click on this one. I got a "WOT Warning: This site has a poor reputation", so didn't go any farther with it.

In doing a Google search on freewebpage.org (which showed in the URL when I got the warning), I see that the search results show all sites with freewebpage.org in their address have a RED WOT warning.

Do you ignore WOT warnings? Always? Sometimes? Never?

I'm wondering if I should mention anything to the member about the site and the WOT warning I got.

I clicked on that link you provided and then on where the link says my member page and did not get any red WOT warnings.

When I see the red wot warnings what I do is click on that warning where it says you can check their rating page, and see why they got rated that way also many times people will write comments saying why they rated it that way.

Raven, I expect you just clicked on the link to their (GW) member page, right?

When I see the red wot warnings what I do is click on that warning where it says you can check their rating page, and see why they got rated that way also many times people will write comments saying why they rated it that way.
Without doing any clicking the warning page that displays says the
Trustworthiness is unsatisfactory
Vendor reliability, Privacy, and Child Safety all show as POOR.

Oh, I can't not read, so I've read a couple since then, but neither book was all that good. I started another one yesterday. I'm catching up on some young adult books that I might have read over the winter if I hadn't been reading AMoL. And I haven't gotten back to any of those sites - guess I got to the point that I didn't want to think about it for awhile. Maybe I will and see what other people have to say.

Well if you had success with Malwarebytes perhaps it is not necessary to run Superantispyware. If you would care to try then as you start the computer keep tapping the F8 button and a screen will appear with start up options. Select safe mode, everything will look totally different to the normal startup because only essential drivers have been allowed to start. My concern was the fact you mentioned AVG was not running properly. That is a good indicator of trouble. On reading the initial post a second time it appears you overcame that issue

ah ok that did trigger a red wot page, this is the scorecard page for that site

there are no comments unfortunately, I wish everyone would use the comments area to let people know why they got those ratings, I always leave a comment when I do one.

It could be that those domains are linked to some not so reputable companies or ads. Now the score card page for the main domain does have comments

free web pages ... an ideal spot for some young hackers to load with virus or exploits and tricks .... doesnt mean every web page there is compromised. Probably safe to visit the seed lady's page. Wot should not assume the whole domain is bad.
