Single wall oven jenn air vs GE Monogram?
Comments (14)I've had the new Jenn Air Combination Microwave/Wall Oven for about a year now and have been happy with it except for one BIG (too me) thing. The cook timer feature with a delay start does not function. Its not broken just the feature was never written into the software code for the control panel. After several repair calls (from Jenn Air and Sears) to verify that I wasn't crazy a new control panel was ordered but that has been repeatedly delayed. As a side note, this handy feature was one of the main reasons for replacing my previous old, working but very ugly oven. It has taken several months but now Sears is offering to replace this oven and I think will I pay the extra cost for the V2 Convection model (with a different control panel as verifed by Jenn Air). I would wait it out for a new control panel but after a year I don't have much confidence Jenn Air is planning on fixing it. I also want to mention that Sears has been responsive for the most part and I did not have to fight for them to replace the oven. (although I don't have new oven yet so I may be speaking too soon). I know this doesn't answer OP's original question but it seemed like a good place to relate my experience....See MoreWall Oven Help -- KitchenAid vs. GE Monogram
Comments (8)I have a KA double convection wall oven KEBS208. I was trying to hold off on self-cleaning it because of the problems I read about but I finally broke down and cleaned it last night. It looks so nice again with that pretty blue color (although the racks remain spattered)and I just used the oven this afternoon on 2 different settings and different temps. It worked fine - what a relief. Actually my friend with the same oven cleaned hers first with no problem so that's the reason I decided to clean mine. I think you should feel safe getting the KA - no need to worry about the self cleaning problem, although if you get it make sure to clean it within the warranty period! I love my KA oven, we use it often for pizzas at 500 degrees and use it at regular temps also. I pretty much only use the convection oven feature (used regular bake this afternoon for cheesecake, not convection) and broil. I'm not picky when it comes to an oven but I really like this one. Good luck!...See MoreElectrolux vs GE Monogram induction cooktop
Comments (4)Unfortunately the Elux is a "Hybrid". It has both radiant ribbon burners and Induction Hobs. When that one first came out , I saw several reviews that said the thing never worked. One of the problems with a Hybrid is if you use the radiant ribbon burners, the cooktop will get hot enough to burn stuff on, (Just like any "Conventional" Smooth Electric Cooktop) so you lose one of induction's best attributes, Ease of cleaning (or no cleaning if you cover it with paper towels as I do). Based on earlier reviews of that product, and the fact that it is a hybrid, I would "pass". Sorry to be the "bearer of bad news." WATCH OUT!!!! I found sites that do not describe it as a "Hybrid". If it is model # EW30CC55GW 30 or EW30CC55GW 36, then it is either a 30 or 36" Hybrid. Gary...See MoreGe Mongram double wall ovens vs Electrolux Icon Pro
Comments (0)Hi, Just new to this site and have found all the information very helpful. I have read alot of comments about the electrolux double wall oven being small inside. this concerns me as I do alot of entertaining and don't want to use one oven soley for one turkey. Could I get feedback from anyone who has the GE monogram double wall oven? Is it reliable, any problems with cleaning and use? How hard are the gliding racks to remove?(model xet2rmss). I am building new house and find it hard to find the right appliances. At first it was choice btwn Electrolux and Kitchenaid. My appliance dealer swears by Kitchenaid - says more reliable, however I like the looks of electrolux better. I am however going with K.A. 36" induction cooktop as it is flat with no edges like electrolux so easier to clean. the G.E. mongram double wall oven seems like it will match with the Electrolux french door fridge. any comments would be most helpful...See Moreheimert
