DVD's come in at least 2 styles. A regular store bought one has files on it that look like xxxxx.vob plus other files. other types made by friends won't be like that and will be 'more playable' using VLC player which I believe everyone would recommend. I personally don't play DVD's and thus can't help you much however there's going to be a software requirement for the DVD player to need for it to decipher how to manage the *.vob files on the DVD. Try opening Windows media player by itself and then open the CD / DVD by typing E: or D: in the Run window. Once the DVD is 'open' drag it to the WIndows media player. Or an alternate way is to open Windows player and then once knowing the E: or D: name of the DVD then 'open' Windows media player for the DVD and see if it will play it. During all of this if you can verify what kind of files, ie *.vob or other.. ie *.mp4, or *.avi files, this will help us to help you to play it. I suspect that you have a 'real' DVD from Blockbuster and are trying to play it. So the open Windows media player first, then try to open the D: or E: of the DVD should take you the furthest in your hopes to play it. Computers were not supposed to cause us more work. Be careful to avoid joy and happiness tied to computers. They're made for work and GD if they aaren't going to be used for that you're certainly going to H$LL. This did not work. I booted from the XP disk, got the first couple of screens including license agreement, but it will not let me do the repair. Here is the message: "The partition is either too full, damaged, not formatted, or formatted with an incompatible file system. To continue installing Windows, Setup must format this partition." C:Partition (Unknown) 131072MB (131071MB free)on 131068MB Disk 0 at Id 0 on bus 0 on atapi (MBR) Caution: Formatting will delete any files on the partition." So I backed out, and now cannot boot into Windows at all. I have an Acronis boot disk, and it booted from that, but when I chose Windows, all I got was a black screen with a flashing cursor. I also had a boot disk from AVG, but it would not work at all. This XP disk says on the front Unlicensed Software, but I really don't think I can use it for a clean install, because on the sleeve is a Product Key, and a notation to use this every time you install this software. Of course, my daughter installed it on her PC, so no go there if I understand correctly. Now it appears my only hope is to use the recovery disks I made long ago. I won't be doing anything else tonight as I'm just too tired for that. Thank goodness I have another computer. Now I'm not sure if I'll be able to do the type of recovery where I don't lose my files, or if I'll have to do the full job. My HP manual explains both of those in detail. All I get on boot is the HP screen, and then it just goes black with the flashing white cursor.

The good news is, I found out that I could export .mov files into mpeg in the camera software. Now I can play movie clips in my version of Windows Media Player and so I assume I won't have to much trouble sharing.

@Ronnie Hossain Pella was sued and settled the case for Pella ProLine casement, awning, or transom window which were manufactured between January 1, 1991, and December 31, 2009 (“Pella ProLine Casement Window”) As @millworkman said, most issues people having is improper installation, and for every complaint, we address when it comes to newly installed windows or doors or anything else for that matter 90% of the issues are related to improper installation or flashing applications, etc. Not sure what happened in your case since you didn't say what issues you experienced yes some company representatives do try to point the arrows at the installers but most of the time they're right because not many follow the manufacturer's guidelines and not only when it comes to windows I see that with backer board installations, with composite decking installations, etc. That being said, I'm not defending Pella window manufacturer, I never used Pella and never suggested using them, just telling you based on my general experience... If you take the best product out there and you do not follow the manufacturer's minimum installation requirements there will be issues. Good luck
