I do have a Windows 7 laptop, but I still prefer using my desktop which is XP. I'm much more comfortable sitting in my nice desk chair and using a regular keyboard. I'd love a desktop with Windows 7, but I don't have room for another computer or even storage space if I keep this one, too. I have no intention of getting Windows 8 because at my age I'm wanting to take things easy, not get frustrated with a computer. I keep thinking of putting Ubuntu on the old desktop and using that until it gives up the ghost, but that might lead to frustrations, too. I've loved fiddling with computers, but now there are other things I want to spend my time doing. I have a smart phone, a couple of tablets and an e-reader, so I really have more gadgets than I have time. Enjoy photography, too, so we'll just see what develops. Thanks, all.

These are the exact instructions that I copied from that site: Open Internet Explorer. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. On the Security tab, click Internet. Click Custom Level. (Fig.1) Scroll down to Active scripting. ****Click Enable (or Prompt). (Fig.2) Click OK. Click Yes. Click OK Just tried it and it didn't work for me. When I got to where I was supposed to click "enable active scripting or prompt" (see above asterisks in above instructions), I saw that my laptop was already set on Enable". So, I clicked on "Prompt", finished the directions, closed and then reopened . . . to a nightmare of boxes that continually popped up asking me if I really wanted to do something. I unfortunately can't remember what it was now, but no matter whether I clicked on "yes" or "no", they continued to pop up. I had to shut down the computer, then get back on, go all the way back to that place in the instructions, click off "prompt" and click on "enable" once again. Turned off the computer, turned it back on again . . . and now I'm back to the script error PIA. I am so frustrated!

for those with adblock plus on your firefox if you have not added the easylist subscription to your adblock you NEED to do that it has the list of all the known ads to block for those that have it and are having issues be sure you update your easylist. Here is where you get easylist it only takes one click to add it on. Add EasyList to Adblock Plus click where you see that text on the page.
