wolf e or l series wall oven
Comments (11)Rhome - Thanks for the update on the gagg oven. I have to admit that I do lurk and read your blog - I did see the plight of the pizza. Dodge, thanks for the pics that was very helpful. With my small galley kitchen unfortunately I will either be prepping in front of the oven if it is under the counter next to me or standing directly in front of it is it under the cooktop, neither of which sounds overly appealing. The only option other than the wolf L or e under the counter is to put in a gagg single oven underneath the steamer. Originally I had the kitchen designed with the 30 inch gagg steamer with a single 30 gagg underneath. I got greedy for counter space and went with the 24 in steamer because it's the same size as the 30. Unfortunately that left me with a 24 inch full size cabinet for another oven. I suppose since I have not ordered the cabinets yet I could give up to 6 inches and then I would land up with a 30 inch Gaggenau oven underneath a 24 in steamer but that may look odd. Or stop hemming and hawing and put in the smaller 24 gagg oven.. I just think it may be too small....See MoreMiele vs Wolf E series double ovens
Comments (5)I looked seriously at Dacor when I, unfortunately, chose the Monogram instead. I can't remember why I didn't look into that oven again when I got the Wolf. I couldn't find much info or feedback, and it never came up with the salespeople I talked to, I guess. Also, the store who I dealt with who recommended it had closed. But I do think it's worth a look. It was a guy who works in Wolf engineering, where they do extensive testing of other manufacturers' appliances, that steered me toward Electrolux as a 2nd choice if I could afford the Wolf. But ASV reminded me about the glass over the element in Dacor, which I thought was a very smart feature. Also, if you get their dbl that's thermal (not convection) on the bottom, the cavity and, I believe, racks are larger to take advantage of the fact there's no extra fan stealing space. My Wolf's thermal oven cavity is slightly larger than the convection one also, but the racks aren't so the larger cavity is no advantage to me. My repair tech said Dacor was the one he was most impressed with, and my old favorite saleman swore by Dacor and used it as the gold standard...to which he said Elux compared very favorably. If you're willing to look at others beside Wolf and Miele, you might also consider Fisher and Paykel or DCS...if you can confirm you have plenty of available tech support in your area, which I didn't. My F&P oven performed great, but when the porcelain went bad (uncharacteristic for that brand, as far as I know), they had a lot of trouble finding authorized service people to do the changes for me....See MoreQuestion for Wolf E series oven or Gaggenau 280 serie oven owners
Comments (0)Would love to know your experience with either of these ovens. I have had 2 Gaggenau ovens for over 10 years that I have loved. I am doing an extensive kitchen remodel and planned to update the Gaggenua ovens with newer models but the appliance store I use no longer carries that line and service is not readily available in my area. Therefore, I decided to go with the Wolf E series ovens. I keep having second thoughts because I love the side opening door of my Gaggenau's and have so enjoyed cooking and baking with them for so many years. I am not interested in the combi version of the Gaggenua ovens... just the regular convection ovens. Some of the changes they have made to the Gaggenua ovens such as not having integrated rack holders anymore have made me think that I might not like the newer model as much as I like my older ovens. Also... when I purchased them years ago they were state of the art with convection being rather new back then. Would love to know your thoughts... especially regarding how you like your Wolf oven for baking....See MoreWolf Oven E-Series or M-Series?
Comments (19)I M looking at the e series electric wall oven ( which is cheaper than the m series) . I asked the showroom a simple question- how many passes is the broiler. She didn’t even know what a pass was. I said that every other oven lists the specs including the wattage of the bake and broil features. Why is wolf so difficult to find these answers. Anyway, the answer was 8 passes which seems very little to me. Bosch is 12, cafe is 10. I need to make a decision within the next few weeks. Wolf did better than bosch in consumerreports and there was no reporting of the enamel chipping. Any suggestions are appreciated....See Morebreezygirl
