Where life ends somewhere else it begins again. And this is during the day ...and it's much darker in color than the first original. I just love it. The neighbor lady came over just to see what plant it was. She said she could see the red from her kitchen window. And her house is more than 200 feet away.

Leafwatcher, I looked at the HLibrary pictures and read the brief description for this hosta on MYHOSTAS.BE. It is a really nice little slow grower. After all, we don't need everything to get huge, now do we? I have a new Kiwi Highlights which is a sweet hosta too. It was a gift with an order from Land Of The Giants. A really NICE hosta. Hope you don't mind that I post MY Kiwi hosta here? New this year.

There were just those two that were that big.... the rest he picked were just normal medium sized onions and smaller... but these two were really big... and juicy sweet too.. Got to find out where the neighbor got his sets from too..I would like to plant sets like that next spring...

Next time I'll have to take a little more time to commit it all to memory ==>>> yeah.. good luck with that.. the older you get ... you're in real trouble.. when the snow melts.. and you dont remember building the bed.. lol .... i used to put some rocks as markers in the beds ... and then snapped pix of name tags or seed packets in relation to the markers .... so i might review said pix in spring ... or even just some sticks that fell out of trees ... to mark a planting spot ... the name that plant forum is brilliant for naming seedlings.. if you let them get to some size first ... of.. i also planted in straight lines ... figuring random weed seed doesnt sow itself in straight lines.. so odds are... if i saw a line of a dozen duplicate plants.. i must have planted them ... and then i would move them around in fall to permanent places ... the sticks mentioned above.. marking the start and finish of the line .... ken
