How many of these can I have on computer.

I recently had a computer problem. Got it solved with the Malwarebytes Anti Malware free download. Before I download that fix I had download Paretologic free and did not get to use that download. What I want to know is it okay to have more than one of these removal systems on the computer. Can I keep both on the computer and use at different times. Any help is appreciated.

Yes can have more than one anti malware program on your computer. BUT only one anti virus otherwise there is a possibility of them clashing.

However I do believe you would be well advised to remove Paretologic before you click on the link in the program and get pestered for money. Google it for yourself but user reviews are not very complimentary.

MS Security Essentials and Superantispywareare both are free and very good programs. With Superantispyware be careful to stay with the free version during the download and install. MS Security Essentials is fully automatic, no updating to do at all.

As O reports as many applications as you wish. They have to be configured as on-demand rather than running in the background if the option is available. The on-demand is the important issue.

If it is a smartphone you can just let google drive sync and everything from messages to contacts will be backed up. You should be able to access everything using google drive app or by a web browser. I don't think samsung makes basic phones anymore so It's likely that the OP has a smartphone. who doesn't these days right?

When I had the "computer room" setup I had two typing tables that I used for the computers. One was an old wooden one and the other was an old metal one. They both worked well. Now that I use a notebook I use a Tablemate next to the recliner. Works great. I have one wooden computer desk and I've never put it together. It's in the basement and will get thrown someday.

I won't even begin to list how many cleaning products are in my house. It's. Absolutely. Terrifying. That being said, I'm working on getting rid of much of it and using more natural/earth friendly methods. One thing that I am having a tough time giving up is my toilet bowl cleaner with bleach. I just haven't found anything that makes me feel like the toilet is as clean as when I use some bleach based product. Just mixed up a batch of baking soda, essential oils (eucalyptus and peppermint), a little bit of Dawn dishwashing liquid, and enough water to make a paste. This was used to scrub the tub which gets absolutely horrible because it's an old porcelain tub (but the finish was messed up from the previous owners)...it got it as clean as the harsher cleansers I've used with about the same amount of effort. Bonus is that it smelled lovely, way better than most cleaning products you can buy in the store. Looking forward to hearing more about some of the alternate cleaning products that people use.

I agree with owbist, remove Paretologic before you get caught up in it's scam. Here's what I found:

When tested, we found that Anti-Spyware missed quite a lot of spyware and adware. We also discovered Anti-Spyware often presented false positives. This means the program claimed an innocent program was spyware or adware. This is inconvenient, because if you remove these innocent programs as Anti-Spyware advises, you can cause serious harm to your computer. Conveniently ParetoLogic provides a "view details" section that takes you directly to "their" dictionary and explains the source, nature and threat of its findings. ParetoLogic Anti-Spyware is fairly powerful, easy-to-use software, but its poor detection abilities coupled with an unflattering number of false positives lowered its overall ranking.

I have yet to find anyone to give the program good reviews.

Also,depending on which AntiVirus you use, you have to be careful not to install more than one spyware, malware, firewall etc. Many Security Suites come fully intact with that type of protection. And many do not think to turn off their Windows Firewall or Windows Defender when they install 3rd party Firewall/Spyware programs.

As damccoy suggests: Stay with the "on demand" scanners and do not install any realtime extras that you think you may need.

If you are unsure which is an "on demand" or "realtime" you know that everyone here would be more than happy to help you.

I want to thank everyone that answered my question. That is what I need to know. I will remove the Paretologic. I don't want anything that might cause me more trouble. Thanks again.

Many people have pointed out how difficult it is to remove Paretologic once it is installed. Many have had to go beyond just uninstalling in the add/remove programs.

You may have to go to C: Programs and look for any files and folders that remain that will cause conflicts later.

Above you said that you did not get to use that download. That could be a good thing because scans were not scheduled that will cause such a conflict.

I'm including a link from eHow that may help you...if needed. And I hope you don't need it! But, you may want to look inside the C: drive under Programs just to make sure. Some software can be very aggressive.

Please let us know how the removal turns out.

Well I did find it in the C drive. I did read the article that you sent. But I am not having any luck removing it. I saw the registration and it was already set to scan. I could not figure out how to delete. There was no option to do that. I pressed the del key but that did not delete it. I think this might be a little over my head. SO I might wait until one of the kids come for the holidays to do this for me. Thanks again
