Wanted Advantium 120V But Great Deal on 240V
Comments (3)Having suffered with having to make the decision, I went with the 120 for the "9x13" issue too, and regret my decision. I rarely put a pan that size in the oven to begin with and I'm missing out on the really fast "speed cooking" benefit of the 240v, which was the whole purpose of the oven. While the 120 is faster than a regular oven (or so they say, I'm really starting to doubt that after using it) I really wish I had gone with the 240. My suggestion would be to really think about what you cook most often and decide what's most important, the size or the speed? If you're mostly going to try cooking roasts and potatoes and things that will fit in the 240, then I say go with the 240, but if you do a lot of casserole cooking and think that that's the most important aspect, then I'd hold out for the 120, or wait until the 240s come out in the bigger size. That's a great deal on the 240 though, I'd be tempted to jump at it....See More240v vs. 120v in ovens

Comments (3)We are getting the 240 Advantium, but don't have it installed yet. We initially looked at the 120 b/c we planned to use it as a second oven and wanted the larger cavity. Once we decided to go with a range and one wall oven, we went for the 240 instead of a standard microwave. I am really looking forward to the using the speed cook for baking potatoes, quick cooking frozen foods, etc....See MoreGE Advantium speed oven 240v--best place to buy?
Comments (5)I also didn't find any deals on that speed oven. I've bought many appliances from AJ Madison, great customer service, quick shipping. With problems, we have dealt with them sending out local repair guys, arranging appliance return etc. Yes, a little more of a hassle than buying local, but not bad. Get ahold of a sales rep and write an email asking for a year end deal etc...they have always adjusted the price rather than just adding into your shopping cart on the website. My local appliance store quoted the 240V for $2400 while HD has it for $2799....See Morelee676
