Font size help!!!

Baby granddaughter hit some keys and made my font too big. I forget how to put it back to normal size!!! Thanks!!!

I'm guessing this is in your browser. Hold down the ctrl key while tapping the minus key will make it smaller (the plus key will make it larger) but this will only work temporarily. If you tell us which browser you use (IE, Firefox, Netscape, Opera) someone will give you instructions for a fix that will last.

Hold down the CTRL (Control) key on your keyboard and roll the center scroll wheel on your mouse slowly. Usually rolling forward makes it larger.

I right click on the desktop, click on personalize, windows color, then advanced settings. You click on the area you want to change and the options will come up. If you are using Firefox, install the ad on called "no squint" and you will have an option in it. I find the whites so hard on my eyes, I like to change backgrounds to a pastel. The only thing I have been able to change is the first page in WLmail.

DA... thanks. That works at least for one test. So dose Control +/- on the active text. Strange that "Compose" doesn't affect font size while Display does. Seem either or both could be the needed function - but when composing it is Display that determines the font size. I'll Google for the pain size. Sorry to put you to that extra work/test but when I can't figure out some computer question my first thought is gardenweb/computer... not Google/Web.

Go back to the tool bar and choose View on the upper toolbar. When it opens up Choose Text size . A little menu with increase or decease will pop out. By choosing increase and do that a second time you can increase the font size for the session you are reading emails. You would have to do this every time you read email I do that two times to increase the size for eyes too. I think it is about a 120 increase. At least it is on the Sea Monkey browser I use.

Thank you all for your help! I have passed on the info to my Dad, who seems to have blundered his way into some sort of satisfactory resolution. He has a young mate down the road (only 83 y.o.!), who does seem to know his way around a computer. Unfortunately, he hates Firefox (calls it Mozzarella!) and is set in his IE ways, but has cobbled together something for Dad. Next time I visit, I'll double check, and also install 3.5.1! Go up to "VIEW" Click, down to "text size" , change. see if that works.

You should have a toolbar at the very top of the page. Click on "View". See a list of choices, one of which is "Text Size". Click on that and you are given a selection of sizes. Pick the one you want and you are all set.
