Trash. I worked for a community theater for years. Guess what? Your old software and computers are just as useless to us as you. Yes we need current accounting systems, supported operating systems and computers that can run current publishing and graphics software. People would call us all the time with offers to donate old computers with Windows XP or older, insufficient RAM , or small monitors. Someone even dropped off a bunch of old computers outside the front door. It cost us 40 bucks to take them to the local disposal site.

I liked the software on ikea.ca. You don't have to use their cabinets, but it's GREAT to use software that lets you switch between layout and 3D view - that's where you can evaluate sightlines, which IMO are so important. You can also email the planner to yourself and then share the link with others in case they want to alter the layout.

I used to draw floor plans on graph paper so that the room would be to scale. Is there a software that does this? Counting grids is so tiresome. I read previous posts on floor planner and home architect that do 3D and 2D modeling. But 1) I don't need or want 3D stuff. And the 2) the 2D stuff is confusing. The print outs don't have grids for easy counting and no measurements are displayed.

DynaSCAPE is used widely in my area and is the software taught in the CAD drafting classes at local landscape design schools.
