Steam shower light problem
Comments (3)use the silicone on the tile as a thicker gasket - put it on let it dry then replace the cover. A better option would be to get a thicker gasket for your light , but that'll be dificult. Best solution is to have the tile guy re-do his work properly, I'd be mildly concerned that the design / construction of the shower is flawed if he can't lay tile flat and plumb....See MoreSteam Shower Light
Comments (1)Don't know your exact specs, but steamsaunabath.com has lots of options -- some recessed, some not -- we used the Kayla in our former house and again in our new house, as it held up fairly well the first time around. It is a rather large light, and not particularly attractive -- I would have preferred something recessed, but was not an option....See MoreSteam Shower light problem?
Comments (3)A thicker gasket might fix it but I don't know if one is available or if you could make one yourself. You might be able to order a replacement gasket and cut it down to fit. I would not recommend sealant. You can always reset the tile assuming it is on a cement backer board which it should be in a steam shower. If it is on any kind of gypsum board or a fiber-cement board you will eventually have to replace the ceiling anyway. Good luck with it....See MoreSteam shower steam generator question
Comments (1)I'm not swayed by changing light colors or aromatherapy. Nor is my wife. We both enjoy steam. She regularly gets therapeutic massages. I do not at all mind scents in the house. My wife is big into scented wax melts, and I don't mind them at all. But in the steamer? The "special effects" are not preferred by either of us. Steam. Relax. Shower. Get on with the day. The features are somewhat popular, so I presume some folk like the effect. Or think they might like it when they order. I do prefer Thermasol....See Morecindallas
