my friend is on the today show today
Comments (14)LOL Kat. While reading your post my phone rang and it was the Zumba teacher calling to answer a couple questions I had about shoes and clothing. I told him that I've been warned by a friend to NOT wear old bowling shoes. He cracked up. I don't have any worn out shoes except perhaps my hiking shoes and they do not work well for Zumba. I wore them to my one and only Zumba class which was offered by the ranch conservancy where I hike. We danced and yelled at the top of our lungs in the middle of an old horse corral complete with tufts of dead grass, dirt clods and gopher holes. Not the best place to experience Zumba for the first time. :-) Charmaine (my sis) lives in Gig Harbor. Not sure where she teaches but I suspect it's Gig Harbor. Below is her Zumba profile and schedule at Form Fit 24-Hour Fitness. Gads, all her certifications make me ill. LOL Jodi- Here is a link that might be useful: Charmaine...See MoreFair warning about pebblesheen
Comments (4)I had a problem on my old pool where we used Pebble Tec above the waterline instead of tile. At the time, maybe 2003 or 4, Pebble Tec marketing info on their website and brochures showed fabulous photos of the finish outside of the water. I think there were even photos of it being used as a finish for decking. Anyhow, Cracks showed up in a few years... getting gradually worse and worse. I called Pebble Tec and they informed me it was installed improperly and that it should never be used above the waterline. Huh? I went back to their website and, sure enough, all the outside of the water application photos were gone. So... there is nothing special about Pebble Tec. It's all about quality of the crew doing the application and Pebble Tec is just another material.. albeit one that is marketed a bit better. Unless you're getting a deal I'd go for some other exposed aggregate finish. I think their warranty and installer validation process is marketing magic. Hey... Let's turn this into a bash Pebble Tec thread. Pile on. :)...See MoreWarning about $15 discount
Comments (13)Thank you all for validating my feelings. It made my day. The temptation to return the merchandise is maddening, but the merchandise is for a special occasion and it is perfect. To return it would be cutting off my nose to spite my face because I would have to spend more time and money shopping for the right thing. Thank you for asking about the receipt. I pulled it out and there is an email address to rate the store. I rated them the lowest and left my number. Maybe I will get to talk to someone after all. The bottom of the receipt states, "$15 will be credited to your account when you make your first purchase today purchase must be made same day as account opening in order to receive statement credit and will not apply if purchase is subject to a different promotional offer." I purchased Martha Stewart sheets once. In the store, they felt so soft and luxurious. After the first washing, they were very rough. I am done with Martha....See MoreWARNING about seresto flea/tick collars
Comments (34)Arkansas girl: I was told same thing that it was only fake Soresto collars, so being a fool I listened to my vet and put the collar on my Bichon that I purchased from the vet. I diligently watched for any signs of an allergic reaction and after only 1 week I noted some serousanguinous drainage under my dogs collar. He has thick curley hair so I did not notice he had a severe reaction under his neck. When the vet shaved his neck the entire neck underneath was excoriated and swollen. Now my poor baby is miserable and on antibiotics and antihistamines. His breathing is rapid when he sleeps and I pray there is no internal damage. I immediately took the collars off of both my pets and threw these $160 worth of collars in the garbage. I am going back to vet today because swelling is still bad and my dog’s breathing is rapid when he sleeps. Do not use these if you love your pets. My Bichon had a very severe reaction and I personally wish I had listened to reviews and not Enlanco who I called nor my vet. EPA has multiple reports of deaths and should take these off the market. I am going to do my best to make sure they do!...See MorePhobie Privett
