last year was my first year planting canna's. I purchased 12 rhizomes from craigslist. I beleive they are Robert Kemp. Red and grew to about 6 ft tall. I watered them daily and they received about 8 hours of full sun daily. I never used compost, put them directly into the soil. I used Miracle Grow about every 2 weeks or so and at the end of the season when I dug them up, I ended up with 120 rhizomes. In my opinion one of the easiest things to grow if you water daily and they get enough sun!

Thanks for clarifying, Sue. If those are standard doors for a 72" space, then they are each about 36" wide, which means that, for a 60" space, you will have an opening that is at most 24" wide with the sliding door fully open. Those tracks get trimmed all the time because no opening is ever exactly the manufactured width. I don;t know the exact design of the doors and track, but cutting down the track shouldn't be a problem if the 24" opening is wide enough to get through easily (like no toilet in the way, etc.). You do need some basic handyman skills to do a decent job. And it wouldn't hurt to call Kohler customer service to make sure this modification will pose no problem. However, I'm confused why you bought a set of doors for a 72" space: Kohler manufactures doors for 60" spaces as well and this would give you a 30" wide opening, and less fooling around with the track. Why not return what you have and get a set more suited to your space?

Put me down as one that is slow to learn! I am an obsessive weed picker, I admit. I do not use chemicals in my lawn or garden because I have a 7 year old who spends a lot of time outside in the yard. I pick and pull and my neighbors think I'm nuts lol. I don't know which weed or plant it is, but every other month or so I get a rash on my fingers that blisters first (insanely itchy) and then my skin sloughs off in layers like a burn victim (excruciatingly painful). Lots of blood, pus and scabs after. It even hurts to wash my hands. I try to wear gloves as much as possible but it mainly happens when I'm walking by and spot a patch of weeds and can't resist weeding right there on the spot! I'm hopeless. If anyone knows of a South Florida weed that might be responsible I'd love to know. I'm really only picking weeds that grow low in the grass. Nothing tall or funky looking.

But before we look at that part, lets get rid of the "has the ability to damage plants". No reference(s) was/were given. Of course hydrogen peroxide in too high a concentration can damage plants. A recent field of study concerns the chemistry of "RNA silencing pathway in the plant defense against viruses" as a means that plants utilize to defend themselves against viruses.
