Comments (1)The length of sun exposure will be greatest in your 2nd photo. You want the angle towards the south. In your home, windows facing the north get little sun, while the east and west ones get longer sun and the south windows get the longest period of sun. Comments (1)I also trellis a lot of things so my boxes are oriented east/west so the north side is the longest dimension. In most places though I don't know that it is super critical. Even with the boxes in a north south orientation the trellised plants could go on the east side to block the morning sun until around 11am-noon or the west side to block the weaker evening sunlight after 5-6pm. Either way the rest of the plants should still get 8 or more hours of sun per day. Should work fine for most crops.
