Do you know which picture you want to use?
Do you know where it is located on your computer?

If yes, then all you need to do is go thru Windows Explorer, select the picture with one (not two) left-click of the mouse, then right-click it once and select "Set as Desktop Background".

Hi goldy,

You should be able to Right Click on a picture of your choice and choose Set as desktop background from the list of options.

If you want to change it to one that is provided in your computer do the following:

In XP:
click Start, click Control Panel, click Appearance and Themes, and then click Display.

In Vista and Windows 7:
click Start, click Control Panel, click Personalization, and then click Desktop Background.

See if that helps.

Japanese Emperor I Color Change Pictures?

'Emperor I' is very close to 'Bloodgood' in appearance and will take on very similar seasonal color changes. Bright red new spring growth, followed by deeper burgundy full season color and scarlet/orange in fall. Exact coloring can be influenced by soil conditions, siting and the characteristics of the clone providing the graft stock but it will be pretty similar to that described above. Try Googling under either of those cultivar names for seasonal images for additional clarification.

Do Poppies change colours? Picture
Q

That's a photo of an oriental poppy, Papaver orientale. They don't come in blue :-) And they don't change color although exact coloration can vary depending on light conditions and the cultivar. And self-sown seedlings will not necessarily come true to the parent plant. There are a number of selections that offer that pale blushed white/pink color. That one could be 'Perry's White' or 'Maiden's Blush'. The blue poppies, species of Himalayan meconopsis, can show some variation in coloring depending on species/cultivar.....anywhere from a silvery blue to a pinky mauve/lilac to a distinct sky blue. There are also species that bloom yellow and red. But that is not the plant your photo indicates.

Answering lots of questions as I’ve been working my real estate sales business non-stop in this super busy market. The real estate agent I consulted with for color is me. I know gray is still in here in my market but is totally out in others that my clients live in (I sell lots of second homes being at the beach.) so it will be out here soon and whites are on the rise here. I don’t want someone to be stuck with gray but do not want to lose the buyers in my area that still love it so I was going for greige or an off-white. I’ve settled on BM White Dove for walls and BM Chantilly Lace for cabinets and trim throughout. I want a soothing color with a good LRV as home tends to be dark inside. I’m doing what I can to help with additional lighting too. This is a total renovation: roof, windows, opening kitchen some, all new countertops, all new flooring throughout, etc.... I just want a nice color that is a good backdrop for the Buyers things. The Buyer can personalize to their taste as they decide what they want to do. I just want to avoid one thinking “I can’t move in with that paint.” Which they would definitely do with 1993 yellow, and that is the best color in the house! LOL! This house has a bunch of sherbert-themed colors like dreamsicle orange(yuk). You have all been so helpful! It will be 2-3 weeks, but I will post pictures of the paint when it is done! Thank each and every one of you again!

Change picture window to functioning window(s), what style?
Q

In a given opening, 2 wide windows will be cheaper and provide a better view than three narrow ones. Double/single hungs will be cheaper than casements. Otherwise, not much to say about the overall apearance without the elevations and climate info. The Andersen 100 (with an e) is made of a PVC and wood fiber composite that is stronger than PVC/vinyl but the configuration of the frame and sash mimics vinyl in that the glass is so far forward in the wall that the glass is actually forward of the siding and trim which would not be appropriate for a Modern Farmhouse. Also, the sill doesn't have an adequate drip which is more likely to allow water to get behind the siding when the caulking deteriorates assuning it was well installed to begin with. I would add an Azek historic sill or flash under the sill and over the second course of horizontal siding below. I've seen this kind of sill detail get Andersen into big trouble before and they redesigned their clad wood double hungs but they seem to have forgotten the lesson.

By "start up" picture, do you mean your account picture that appears on your welcome screen when you start your computer? If so, and I think you have windows 7, right click on your desktop, choose "personalize" and on the left side, choose "change account picture". You can use the generic ones in that window, or "browse" and choose one of your own.

@kayjones,

What Operating System?

Check to see if the Service is set for Automatic.

Here's how:

1. Right Click My Computer (XP) or Computer (Vista/Win7) and select Manage.
2. Click on the + next to Services And Applications
3. Click on Services
4. You can select Standard or Extended View. I prefer Standard View.
5. Scroll down a bit to find the Themes service.
6. Double click the Themes service and under general make sure the Startup Type is set for Automatic .
7. Select Start if the Service is not started.
8. If it is already started, select Stop and then Select Start again.

Let us know if that helps.
