Thanks everyone. Funny that Jane was posting a similar question at the same time (I didn't realize when I saw the name of her thread that she was aiming to copy file names). It worked for me to do control print, then control V into a word document. A little awkward in terms of getting all the details to show - but certainly doable. Mikie - I tried the dragging and dropping. Now that was the kind of solution I wanted. It saves it in a simple list - without all this blank space from the screen shot. What an incredibly helpful tip. The first time I tried saving it I chose as text - but that was a mess. The second time I chose as a web page - is that the correct way to do it? And will it stay on my computer? This brings up a problem I've had but didn't think about asking before. I have often saved webpages - esp. from this forum and the cooking forum. But when I go back to open them up, they present a whole list of different files - like a logo from the page, etc. It's no longer complete and recreatable. Is that because I saved it in the wrong format? I had just recently deleted a couple of these when I thought there was no resurrecting the information. Glad I didn't erase more than a few. So if I want to, say, save this thread, I'd hit file, then save as, and choose web page complete? web page html? text files? or all files? Looking at the mess of files from things I saved in the past, I suspect I chose all files - but I honestly don't recall making a selection (and certainly I didn't understand the selection). This is such a useful way for me to save some information. Thanks Mikie. I have Dell560 Desktop/IE10/ Win7. I can't find what you suggested. Sorry I'm so computer dumb. The only "Computer" is on the left above the "Start" icon on my desktop. Clicking it will tell me how much space is used on "C" and that I have a "D" drive installed. I'm unsure where the run line might be. The only browser address bar I know of is either on the Internet or my email site. I don't have a Folder Options in my Control Panel icons and, therefore, no View Tab. Back on XP Windows Explorer would give me everything. Now it's just icons saying Libraries, Documents, Etc. Thanks, Gene

Chris, I find it odd that you suspect podcasting will not take off-- it HAS taken off. Between September and today the number of available podcasts has risen from something like 4,000 to over 25,000. The number of ipods out there is something like forty-million. People are sick of the same old music, same old hosts, same old limitations of radio. You find local news uninteresting-- but local news consistently ranks as the number one program on most (if not all) local network stations. Heck, sometimes I get sick of hearing about the President or Iraq, and just want to hear about the local guy who found a python in his truck or something stupid like that. The middle-accent talking-head type is okay, and many will gravitate to that type, but many others like unique accents and flavor. Granted, there will be shows that no one will listen to, even as there are blogs that are not read, but there will be shows that will draw millions of listeners, even as there are blogs that are read by millions. There are already a number of shows that draw tens of thousands. Traditional network broadcasters are now making their shows available as podcasts. So anyway, the medium is exploding in popularity and changing at the same time. As just one more media option, it allows great flexibility for the listener-- gives choices for the morning or evening drive that are unprecedented. You can find a podcast on just about any subject you like. All this is not to say that mine is anything great. It's just that I wouldn't put down a form of media that is growing in popularity at an exponential rate that is almost unprecedented, even faster than the internet itself, which took years to get to the place where podcasting has gotten in months. But I do appreciate your high tastes.

Lukki is right, although Grand Blanc isn't Flint, but if you have the money and a taste for such a house, you'd probably look elsewhere. And, as someone here questioned, 50 acres is not unusual in many parts of Michigan. My sister has close to 30 acres, with a very large swimming pond, horses, barns, woods, etc. Many people, including them, have golf carts to get around their property on. She's in Michigan but closer to Richmond. If we ever moved back to Michigan, I'd look for a place out that way. Or in Grosse Pointe, which is where my dad was from. I love those beautiful red brick homes and mansions. But as for the home featured here, it is so fussy, busy, tired, claustrophobic in some rooms, and ridiculously over-sized in others that I can't begin to imagine living there!
