Opinions on Jason or Mti air tubs
Comments (0)I need to find a tub quick. I looked at an oval 6', 60 gal air tub from Mti that was very nice. I was quoted $1700(is this a good price?) I saw a Jason air tub that as almost the same. I did a little research and it seems to me that the Jason air tub is more of a bubbler, which is what I want. Does anyone have one of these brands? Any reviews would be great....See MoreOpinions on Jason or Mti air tubs

Comments (5)@mpashburn, Did you go with the virtual spout? We're looking at the Andrea 3 and the virtual spout because only the head of the tub would be against the wall and we'd rather not have the deck cluttered as well. We're also using the Kohler DTV for our temp/diverter controls and think this would be very streamlined without faucets. Worried about whether we'd need access to the filler though. Do you get to chose where the virtual spout is installed?...See MoreMTI Tub with Microbubbles? Is it worth it?
Comments (9)@Southeast Historic Home MTI was not able to confirm if the microbubble equipment was going to fit completely under our tub, and estimated to allow @ 9 extra inches of extra room at the end of the tub for the equipment to possibly stick out into the room. When I asked for something more precise to use for planning, they showed me a photo example a year ago from the factory of a microbubbler in progress being added to a tub shell. Here is their photo with the specific microbubble parts circled: They said they just don’t know if it fits in the footprint of the tub until they do it, and that all tub shapes were different. (Ignore the black piece in the foreground of the pic, that looks like their blower for air tub feature that is compact, and can be moved 8’ away.) Unlike the blower, I was told the microbubble equipment could not be relocated to a long side of the tub, or arranged to fit better in the space available, it had to be there at the end of the tub. I don’t have the extra room in the bathroom design for anything sticking out there, and they couldn’t say if they could make it work, so I have not ordered. To me IMHO it looks like ideally the tub would be framed in place, then have a technician on site to place those various pipes and filters and motors, since it is composed of parts and not a big black box that either fits or it doesn’t. They definitely want to do the install in the factory and not in the field....See More- 14 years ago
