Unglazed porcelain for shower floor or not

I've looked at tile for my shower floor, and I'm a bit torn. I found 2 Daltile series that are available in both 12x12 and 2x2 mosaic. I'd use the large tiles on the main floor, and the small one for the shower floor. But the mosaic are quite expensive (11-12$/sq foot).

In 2 different stores, they suggested I use an unglazed porcelain tile mosaic for the shower, which is much cheaper (4-5$/sqf). Since it's uncoated, it has a "rough" feel. I guess it won't be slippery, but will it be easy to clean? Won't the soap & minerals get into the tile and make it impossible to clean? I'm going for a light colour, bone or white (cream, really). What about staining if my hair colour drips?

Anyone has any experience about that? I don't want to end up with something impossible to maintain just to save 200$. And will it really be less slippery than the Daltile, which has a COF of >= 0.60 when wet?

One of those tile series: Olympia Unglazed Mosaic
