How can I find a macro in a word document?!

I was editing a document, and when I opened it again, it said it had a macro. I want to delete it, but I can't find it. When I click on View, Macros, Macros In, and then pick the document, there is nothing in the list. Is there another way?

Nope, that's exactly what I wrote above. I did that. It doesn't work. Is there another way?

As a matter of fact, I made a copy of the document, then delted one section at a time, and everything was deleted, the document still said there was a macro in it! With no words, no links, no nothing! What the heck?!

I did solve the problem. Microsoft Office isn't in my Start Menu, but Microsoft word office is on my desktop as an icon. That works for me. I will go back and try to do what you suggested. I scan medical records on my computer using a optical scanner which saves the material as a .doc. I save these documents on my computer and copy sections to be printed. When I open these scanned records, many become corrupted. Not really knowing what to do about it (and too lazy to rescan), I've copied the parts I needed and pasted on a new blank document. Strangely, they always copy and paste correctly. Windows keeps telling me that a 'table' is corrupted, but I just ignore it. If you could get the document open, I would try copying it to a blank document. It works for me. Jane

how do I create a form document???

When creating a form document, after you type what you want, click "ab" on the form template. This will create a form field. You can add these anywhere in your document. If you want to add a check box, just click the box with the check mark on it. After your form is complete, you have to click on the "lock". When you do that, the only places you can type in are the form fields you created. You have to use your tab key to move from field to field. If you need to add another form field just click the "lock" again and your document will be unlocked. Clicking the "a" will highlight your form fields. Hope this helps. Linda from PA

Insert the disk into the drive. Go to the Control Panel. Find the drive, right click and Format the disk. Then you can drag & drop the file onto the disk.

I guess no one over here is knowledgeable or is willing to help?! Too bad. I made a copy of the document and then deleted one section at a time, trying to track down where it was, to no avail. Even with NOTHING left in the document, it still had the message. Weird.

Try copying the document to another word processor, NoteTab, clipboard, Open Office, etc., then copy from there to your MS Word to see if the phantom macro shows. Copying to Open Office then back to Word might be a better test. Otherwise, what is the problem if Word shows that there is a macro -- other than the fact that there is a "loose end?"
