Comments (8)Too narrow. Pictures would help. But I like a simple 1 x6 ( = 5 3/4 ) base, no shoe if possible and at lease 3 1/4 or four inch window casing. Comments (1)It really depends on how its executed, for example, if all the trim on a certain side of the room is bigger it should be fine but if the usage of it is quite random it might look odd. Comments (2)You really nailed it (no pun intended) in mentioning the width of the trim and the size of the studio apartment. Scale is everything. Were this in a large room with lots of space for furniture layout my answer might be different, but given the use of this space, I think it is smart to leave the windows as is and use narrow trim around the door. We are looking to purchase a similarly sized studio and have been thinking a lot too about how to have the space look streamlined....See Moresue36
