I am wondering just what 'Java' is. What is it for, I mean, what exactly does it do? I got a message this morning that I was supposed to update the Java. I read the agreement but, not being overly intelligent with the terminology, I declined. Now I'm wondering how important it is to update. I don't know what will happen if I don't update or if I do. I don't know if there is a charge for the update or if it's free. Don't want to agree to something that's going to end up costing me a bundle. Thanks for your help. BT

Large Java fern plants, and a small type that is nice in the aquarium foreground. Also a cut-leaved variety - makes a pretty floater but one has grown so huge my fish hide and mope in its shade. Anybody want it? Java moss, too. Makes nice compost or mulch > or great for purifying water, inhibiting algae and sheltering tiny fishies. A pretty, delicate ferny thing. Using Java gel stain on a water damaged table

Got a dining table from CL with a little water damage (only the top color is damaged), which is perfect otherwise. I am planning to use Java gel stain for this table top to cover up the water damage. Can someone who has experience with the gel stain suggest whether it works or not ie., the stain can hide the damage.

Great question, often wondered about it myself. Why is Firefox designed to forbid Java Scripts, if Java is so important? I looked at the link pkponder gave and FF wouldn't let me check it out.

You must have an extension of firefox forbiding java. I use the noscript extension and had to click the options button and temporarily allow sun.com, but was able to explore the whole site, including rotating the molecule with firefox.
