DS has a checking account with one of the largest banks in the country. He got a debit card and checks. He NEVER writes checks, always uses debit card. So when he went to college he left check book at home. He lives in one of the four states in the country that does not have this bank. None of the banks in that state are in our state. So, he would send me his paychecks from his job on campus (paid monthly) to deposit in his account back home. Then the last time I went to do this the bank told me I need his account number?! Fortunately my husband had it for some reason. Then, DS was paying his tuition for the first time directly from his account and realized he could not do it by debit card, (Too big of amount, he can only use the debit for $400/day. I had to overnight his check book. This cost me $17.00. I collected payment for a school fundraiser for dd. One of the checks bounced. I was charged $15 and had to cover the check amount. If I wanted my money I had to go after the check bouncer(who just happens to be related to dh.) I couldn't do it. Didn't have the guts, and didn't want to embarass them. They are always living on the edge, mainly because they do stupid things, but still, couldn't do it. They had to know it bounced. It had to come back insufficient funds. Now I know why some small businesses won't accept checks. I had already paid for another student's share because dd told me her single parent had just lost job. Very expensive fundraiser for us.

Maybe someone can offer some advise in my situation. Back in Oct our new neighbors moved in. We live in attached houses and the walls are not that thick, so when someone is yelling it is like you are in the same room. Only one time have they said something about our TV that we accidently had a bit loud one night, we have never said anything to them about anything. We have put up with their screaming for all this time now and only in Feb have I started to write things down hoping that soon I can complain to the the town housing board or whomever is in charge. I literally write no less than 6 instances down a day at ALL hours. Only this morning at 6:30am I could not take it anymore. I did 1 tap, only 1 on the wall with my shoe and she went NUTS! Screaming to her bf was not enough all the time, she literally screamed that she was going to say something to us and yell at us the next time she saw us outside. I feel that with these kinds of people asking them to be quiet would backfire because they are insane and I also realize making a tap on the wall is not the answer either. I am home alone alot and it is extremely stressful to go outside, try to study or anything without their disturbing behavior.

The version is 7.0.7 I went and looked on the web about the Window Installer had no idea what I should do. In the Control Panel its says I don,t use it often also installed 11/21/05 it must have come with the computer, also on top of the Adobe Reader I have Adobe Flash Player ActiveX but it shows no space taken up on the hard drive but the Reader has alot of space taken. Bob using the quote I mentioned - windows opens with no icons or taskbar - brought up over 130,000 pages. I would discount the virus theory seeing you have wiped the drive. You last post suggests distance is causing a problem. Try Teamviewer, it is brilliant. You click to 'Start full version' and you daughter clicks 'Join a session'. She will then give you 3 sets of 3 numbers to punch in, you then click 'Connect to partner' and she gives you a 4 digit password. Once connected you have her screen on your computer and total control of her mouse and keyboard movements. You can also use your own computer if you need to search for stuff while working on the other confuser. She can also use her mouse and keyboard if needed. You can also reboot her computer and re-connect automatically. You cannot re-connect once both of you have broken the connection, this is her security. I use Skype to talk with the person whose computer I am working on so they are kept up to date on where and what I am doing. Any VOIP program will do that of course.
