When I had my computer worked on last year, I noticed a an Apple software on my computer. I am sure had a new oung man work on my computer. As, I have been going there for years and it has only been the owner and one other knowlegable man in there. When I took my computer home nothing worked right and I had to take it back. I am sure this is when it was added also. Looking around on the computer I noticed it was a humungous file. I guess I will just leave it alone. By the end of the year I will be upgrading to another computer and new windows software. I am hoping they get the windows 8 changed by then or I will go with windows 7. I really don't want to as the support will end with it in a few short years. Thank you everyone for responding to my question.

The issue is to do with file associations. I do not use Quicktime. So using music as an example. Say you currently have all you music files associated with Windows Media Player. This means every time you double click on any musical type file it will open with this program. You then decided to download and install something like jetAudio which is a radio player. During the install jetAudio will ask if you want various file types associated with it, here you can click to accept everything going to jetAudio in future or click on just a select few or none at all. Same with photos and pictures, I use Irfanview at times but I refuse to allow it to be associated with a any picture file format.

We have the PB Logan in black and love it. The quality has been just fine actually. I was a bit worried but at the time, we really had no other option. We had just bought our 55" TV (or should I say DH's 55" TV. LOL!) three weeks before Hurricane Katrina hit and bought just a console for the bottom which arrived a week before the storm hit. Thank goodness. We came back to find that we'd had about 22" of water. That piece that came a week before the storm saved the new TV! Well, we had to refurnish our whole house and I decided I wanted more storage and a bigger piece. I looked at every furniture store in New Orleans for something to house a 55" TV. Everything (at the time) was made for a 50" TV but stopped just short of the dimensions of our TV. But the PB Logan fit the bill. We love it. It's a very nice piece. It's sturdy and has yet to get a scratch or anything on it and we do rotate our TV a bit sometimes. Hope that helps a bit!
