Could possibly have something to do with your very slow download also. ========================== Sunday 04-13: My version is 2014.9.0.2013 and now there is a new; 2014.9.0.2016. Well updating from the interface update just didn't seem to go so I went to the Avast.com site to download the dot.exe file. Clicking on download takes you to CNET. I now realize my original download was therefore thru CNET. So much for getting Avast from Avast. From Google it would seem cnet hasn't got the best of reputations any more in fact lots of complaints about extra programs foisted off on ya. Guess so. I went to File Hippo for the 84.55M file. Then googled that and there seems to be problems with the 2014.9.0.2016 version. So I'll skip it for now. Maybe let it age a bit. FH seems to have a good rep but most mssgs I found about them were several years old.

YES. i used mine for the FIRST time yesterday (6/27/2022) and it shutdown 2 hours into the clean, blew the fuse, bottom door was locked, and the panel was blacked out. this happened also last november when i was baking bread. not only did it blow the fuse, but the circuit breaker in the garage as well. from what i hear from my friends that have kitchenaid ovens -- do not ever use the self-clean because it blow the fuse EVERY TIME! i complained to kitchenaid/whirlpool about this issue yesterday, vehemently, and have not heard a peep from them. one thing for certain, it keeps the kitchenaid repairmen in business because every holiday (thanksgiving/christmas) when ladies are planning to do a lot of cooking, they try and clean their ovens. last november, mine crashed a week before thanksgiving (was baking sourdough bread). the repair service response: "too bad, so sad. will not be able to get parts or service your oven until two weeks AFTER thanksgiving. heads up people...DO NOT USE THE SELF-CLEAN button when you are a few weeks shy of a major holiday. you will be cooking in crockpots, outdoor grills, and on the stove. to my knowledge kitchenaid has not addressed this issue in their ovens. but it's just not kitchenaid, from what i heard from the repair guys, it's viking, bosch, etc. too. doesn't matter how much you pay for your ovens - THEY DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU EVER USE YOUR SELF-CLEAN program! BTW....in november, my warranty had not yet expired, but was going to expire waiting to get service and parts. they are still the best, they just need to fix this problem - it's been ongoing for almost a decade now according to this blog. If there is a class action lawsuit in the works, I would like to join. maybe a little legal pressure will force them to ultimately fix this very dangerous problem.

Thought I make a comment on something I found in relations to the inside bulbs staying on and possibly causing overheated compartments or even a fire on LG refrigerators. I have a Kemore refrigerator which is made by LG and I'm having problems with my freezer fan not coming on. Replaced the fan and found out that the fan was good all along and that it was a problem with the electronic control board (PCB). In the process of troubleshooting the problem I bought the wiring schematic of this particular refrigerator and came across an issue with the wiring schematic. When I physically dismantled the middle refrigerator vent and cool air track where the light bulb is mounted I found a thermal switch sensor mounted against the light bulb compartment. This thermal switch sensor is not depicted in the wiring schematic. I believe this was an after modification that was done. The thermal switch sensor should act as a safeguard against the light bulb compartment getting too hot and there by shutting off the circuit (current) to the light bulb. Evidently LG has been working at fixing the problem of the bulbs staying on while the doors of the refrigerator are closed. Now the only thing to do is find out if the refrigerator you have or are contemplating on buying has been modified with the thermal switch. Hope this helps.
