Help Needed on 3 problems

Computer is XP

Suddenly popped up when computer is turned on each time I get box asking (telling) me that HP Product Assistant/Window Installer is being installed, but I have to insert disc. I have no disk, have checked the add/subtract programs etc. I keep hitting cancel and finally goes away. I have ran malware and tried other things. Just annoying.

# 2 I get a newsletter from Life Line Screening and again, just recently get a Internet Scrip Error, asking me if I want to continue. Again, annoying.

#3 I am still getting a Resolution Notice on my games, checked my computer and I have what they claim I need. Upon contacting Big Fish Games, they claim it is something in my computer--again annoying.

Any ideas and/or help would be appreciated.

See link good luck. I'd try this first:

Using msconfig, click on the startup tab. uncheck HPWuSch2 and HP Digital Imaging Monitor. Restart the machine.

Google script errors in IE.

What's the resolution notice say?

Sorry but I have been away for awhile. I did the msconfig, found HP Digital Imaging Monitor, unchecked it but could not find HPWuSch2. Tried emailing HP, but they could not help as my computer in homemade (by hubby), not a HP. I still get part of the message but not as bad. As for the resolution notice? It is only when the games come in and it says to change my resolution, which I have done. This message does not show up on hubby's computer.

Thanks, Marie. I can't get out much now, but I can search the web. This was a matter of exigency because I don't stake unless there is no other way. I have a bunch of hoop stakes but didn't want to use them on this. I don't have anything natural that is strong enough to hold anything but small plants that don't need to be staked. I also have a green heavy nylon twine, but I didn't want it to cut into the stems and bruise them. I've got regular old twine. If I hadn't been using the rebar I have, I would use that because it wouldn't show as much. Over on the antique rose forum, we use a lot of rebar. The roses soon hide it, and I asked my son to pick me up two 5' sections so I can tie a huge rose back (use my dk nylon loosely for that) so it doesn't hang over the sidewalk. I love bamboo, and you can buy long sections here, but it's expensive if you want a lot. I wanted to use raffia and make things for the garden with it. What I really want to do is make some small fence or trellis out of some of my white birch branches I've been saving, but I don't have a good plan in my head. That twig furniture, maybe somebody on Freecycle would give me some branches for more aesthetic staking that I can tie with raffia. I have some of my own books about that but nothing about stakes in particular. I'll check around the web. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I'm still cutting it back after it blooms and think it will still lean. I'll look for some of the things you mentioned. It looks awful, I know that, but landscape tape is gentle. I could have tied it in smaller sections, but wanted it done and over with. I'm more concerned about saving the blooms than how it looks I'll split the part near the sidewalk off, and get more plants out of it and put that somewhere else or give it away. It just spread too much closer to the sidewalk and it's supposed to be at the back of the border. The gypsophilia probably won't come back next year. At this point, I'm more concerned with how to pinch out those plants right so maybe I won't have to stake them. I do know when and how to pinch back my phlox. Heck I could have used a couple tomato cages further back, then try to less obtrusively tie the ones in front to that, a few in a bunch. Never thought of it.

Wow lots of interesting stuff here! I think there are multiple issues here, and, since the health of the plants isn't great, I would deal with all possible problems rather than hunt down one specific one. If it were me I would do the following, since doing them would fix any of the most likely problems that you may be having. I would change the mix to a free draining one. I would check the roots, and pot into a container that is only a little larger than the rootball. I would put them in a partially sunny position after the repot until they get used to their new mix and pot. I would then move to a sunny location once things started to settle. I would make sure the room had plenty of humidity with gravel trays or a humidity. I would make sure the room was warm, and provide bottom heat to the pots if possible. I would inspect for bugs. Mites and scale seem the most prolific - possibly mites in your case. Webbing is a telltale sign, and sometimes hard to spot, but not always present. I would treat with Toni's spray regardless (she can tell you the ingredients, or you can search previous posts.) If you do spot bugs, use Toni's spray or a suitable one for fruiting plants from a garden centre. I would water these (after the repot) only when the new medium was closer to dry than damp. In a new medium you won't have to worry so much over watering - if it is the right medium it is unlikely you will overwater unless you go nuts with it. Fertilize only very lightly until the tree is back to health, then feed with a high nitrogen feed every couple of weeks. Citrus bounce back, but they take time. These are not by any means the be all and end all of things you should do, they are merely what I personally would do :) Danny

Rufinorox - which finish do you want? Also, I remember from your other post that you ordered the Ladylux3 model 32298, which I wondered about because I thought you said you preferred NOT to have a faucet where you have to hold the button for the spray. The 32298 you have to hold the button. The Grohe Ladylux3 also comes in a model that you can let go of the button and it stays on spray, which is the #32226, and you may find that model more available. In any case, whichever model you want, I would try Abt.com, because Abt is known for its customer service, and sells the Grohe faucets. Also try faucetdirect.com. Call them and see whether they have your faucet in stock. Make sure to specify the finish you want.

You must have an HP Printer installed?

Can you try this for me,

A very small program that simply lists the processes that Task Manager lists, including the full path name so you can see what program they are part of. Â You can easily copy and paste the list into a text file for before/after comparisons, or to email/forum when asking for computer help. You may be surprised at what is running on your computer! Some processes waste a lot of computer resources and make your computer sluggish.

HP Product Assistant/Window Installer is being installed

I don't see exactly what's causing it. It's no doubt from the printer software. A lot of people have been trying to fix it, see link. Best I can offer for now.

Went to the link you suggested and in reading most of the ideas, found one I tried. Hit control/alt/delete and task manager came up showing that program running. but only gave me 3 choices. End task or switch to or new task, and did not see apply. Tried it, but it didn't work. Any way to find apply??

I'm sorry what program?

Printer Software is or can be a problem sometimes. I never install it. It's loaded with things you don't need. What I do is only install the driver for the associated printer. I saw that recommend on this problem. the user said the problem didn't go away after doing it. Probably because some left over folders were not removed.

I still see this running too C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqimzone.exe

hpqimzone.exe, Does that show in MSCONFIG still, if so place a check in it> hit apply hit ok >reboot.

Sorry, the program listed is HP Product Assistant, requiring me to put in a disk, whick I don't have and never did.
Maybe tomarrow, things will fall into line. I have a sciatic nerve in my back that is killing me.

That sounds like an update issue if the problem has just started. Could you post a hijackthis log. Is there an HP printer connected? Is it an hp computer?

LOL I had a feeling that is what you were talking about, I know that pain too. I have had some serious back issues and that has been one of them. I found my miracle when I discovered decompression therapy, I went from not being able to move because of the severe pain and was scheduled for back surgery, to back to pretty normal condition in about a week or so once I began undergoing decompression, went daily for a week then a few times a week, now I know when I am needing to go by how it feels and if I don't go I pay for it. I was able to cancel the surgery and am so happy I avoided that. Had it not happened to me I probably would have been doubtful about it, but it truly has been a miracle cure for me. I have major sympathy for those with that kind of pain.
